Based on our records, there seems to be a misunderstanding, and we’d like to clarify. We worked closely with your wife, who expressed satisfaction with the project and even noted her appreciation for our efforts in handling a challenging situation. As experienced professionals with over 20 years in the industry, we take pride in our work and integrity. The project was initially quoted at $19,000, but unforeseen conditions in your home required adjustments. All changes were communicated and approved by your wife. For example, when a refurbished 10.1-inch touchscreen failed to meet quality standards, we upgraded to a brand-new 7.1-inch model at no additional cost. We also provided an extra access point and upgraded the equipment rack without charging for these adjustments. The wiring in your home showed significant damage, and rewiring was necessary. We charged $4,361.32—not $6,000—for this work and spent additional unpaid time exploring alternatives to minimize costs. Similarly, nonfunctional and mismatched switches installed by a previous homeowner required replacement, which we recommended early in the process. Programming was completed remotely to reduce labor costs, in line with the flat-rate pricing your wife approved. Additionally, we maintained communication throughout the project, completing 99% by November 21st and promptly returning to finish on November 27th. While we understand this has been stressful, we are disappointed by the breakdown in communication. We made efforts to accommodate your needs, including adjusting schedules and offering support during challenging moments.
