contacted one week after hurricane. Came immediately, gave estimate. We signed contact and gave down payment. This was end of September. Had to harass them constantly to find out when work would be done. I understand they were overwhelmed by folks needing their services, but we had to be one of the first to sign. When you tried to call the office, the mailbox was full. Was told because they had home builder clients who wanted cages done by year end, it wouldn’t be until January. In Late January they did come and when they removed old gutters, they said some boards were rotted and needed to be replaced. It did take us two weeks to have that done. (They don’t do that work)! The cage was finally installed in mid February. When installers came they brought boom box and played loud rap music that had offensive words that all of our neighbors could hear. We asked for them to turn that off and they did, but really. While cage looks good, they installed a downspout 8 inches in from the end of the gutter. So when it rains, the water flows past downspout and pours over end cap. The old downspout was at the end of gutter and we never had this problem. I realize many of us were just glad to get someone to come out, so we signed with who ever showed up. But really they had a signed contact in September and couldn’t get to us until January? but if you are just replacing your cage, I would recommend you find another company.

Once the work finally started it was great. Change of dates so many times and lack of communication was terrible.

No complaints about the quality of work or the attitude of the actual installers. The estimator was also professional. The issue I faced is very poor communication at the management level. After getting a fast estimate I never received a contract until I called the estimator back. The estimate was sitting someplace on the managers desk apparently deep in the and quot;to doand quot; pile. After getting the estimate and signing a contract I waited for an install date. and waited....and waited... when 60 days passed without any contract from them I found another service who finished the job in three days! Two weeks later I arrived home to find the Southern Aluminum team on my property wondering why one part of the job was completed? No notice of when they were coming..no email no text no calls. I should have told them to leave but they were nice guys and ready to do whatever was needed to complete the job so I had them do the custom screen fabrication work and repair some cage screens while there were there. The installers were great! They did the job quickly and professionally. They told me I would get a bill in the mail. Which I did not. Three weeks passed and Ill be damned if I would call them to remind them to bill me. Then three weeks later I get a knock at the door and the estimator is there to collect a check? and quot; Oh I was told a bill was sent...Well heres an adjusted bill. We took off for the work we didn't do.and quot; How nice of them not to charge me for work they didn't do. Did they expect me to pay them on the spot? Too bad, I wasn't going to get ambushed like that! I paid the bill in full within three days but I did so grudgingly. The truth is I wanted to be rid of any connection to this company and their shoddy business practices. It seems from all indications their problem is almost total lack of communication with customers. Apparently business is good..so good they don't have time or the staff to stay in touch with the individual customers except of course when they want money.

Overall the job went very well. They coordinated with the work schedules of the pool and deck construction and did a great job with no surprises. They also came back when called to make minor gate adjustments etc. Overall we our very satisfied with this company.

Everything went great. This company was sub contracted by another company but they did good work. They were quick and efficient.
