J & J Pools Inc

Back in January of 2024 Joe said his dog got on his golf cart which he left in reverse with the key on and ran into the door of mu truck. He didn't want to turn it into his insurance so he ask me to get him estimates and he would pay me. I got four estimates from four certified body shops they ran between $3,200.00 and 3'400.00 he and his wife went ballistic after over two months I decided something was better than nothing and we agreed on only $1,800.00. Joe said he would send me a check here it's November and NO check. This is the kind of man your dealing with. I'm still waiting.

While his dog was left unattended in a golf cart, it stepped on the accelerator, running into a truck. Joe didn't want to file with his insurance promising to pay for the damage. Now he is refusing to pay for the cost of the damage!! Not the full estimate cost, only half of the estimated cost.

After the hurricane, I had a pool that appeared more like a swamp. In the past, Ihave used several local pool service and restoration companies only to band aid the problem while also spending hundreds on chemicals. My primary concern, was to eliminate the algae and have a useable pool to enjoy. After researching on Angie’s list, I deceived to give J & J pools a call. Not only did the owner Joe come out to the property, he personally took the time to explain the root of the problem and the steps for a solution. I was aware that the pool will eventually need resurfacing. J & J do offer this service. At this stage I have a limited budget, Joe did not push this service he completely understood that this will be a project in the future. The process for draining the pool, pressure washing and re filling the pool was done in a timely fashion. I did have a question or two during the process and Joe was always available and more than willing to help. He is professional, friendly and an excellent communicator. The cost was very reasonable. Joe was very professional and prompt and even though we hired him when we were still living in MA and he did the work sight unseen his workmanship was excellent. We are very happy with the results and enjoy the pool every day now.

The driver's insurance company asked that I obtain bids, so I contacted three companies with good ratings on this site. One company did not reply, and J & J offered the most competitive price of the two bids received. Since they had previously built a pool for a neighbor, I was familiar with the quality of their work. For my project, they were very professional, completed the work promptly, and did an excellent job. I can recommend this company highly!

The best work ethic I've ever seen. Came on time, was there as scheduled worked quickly. Didn't drag out repairs. Unbelievable results! Felt like someone else's Pool, couldn't believe the transformation. What impressed us most was his attention to detail. If you had a question about anything he was there to talk to. We were going out of town, parents were there to house sit. A new pool needs brushed daily. Joe came back daily to brush so my Father, at his age, didn't have to. If you're thinking about a New, Renovation, or Repairs to your Pool / Pool Deck / Patio / Lani We highly recommend J & J Pools, there is nobody out there that can do what he did!

Joe asked if I wanted to drain the Pool or to have him do the repair under water. I opted to have the pool drained. Joe put two pumps into the pool to drain it and as soon as it was drained he did the repair work and started to re-fill the pool. The work he did was skilled and perfect. I would have him back in a heart beat and feel privileged to have had him do the work.

Joe did what he said when he said he was going to do it. Very nice to work with and he did a beautiful job. Would recommend him highly.

He worked with me to help me pick a nice surface that he could make look even nicer rather than having to buy the more expensive surface coating. Made it look great and helped me save money!

When we first called Joe he answered his own phone.It sound like a small thing but it isn't!  He was easy to reach and that is rare!  We set an appointment and he came over to look at the pool and deck and give us an estimate.  He was professional, very knowledgeable, and his price was very fair.  We had a tile dolphin in the center on the pool floor that all the other pool companies said could not be saved with this type of repair, but Joe saved it!!!  He offered some different idea, but he was never pushy, and he really helped us decide how to move forward.  He worked hard to accommodate our schedule, as we live elsewhere.  He started and finished the job on time - no delays and no surprises.  He was always at the job site.  His employees are very hard workers.  They were careful and clearly knew their jobs well.  The pool and the deck look GREAT - in fact they look just like new.

Then, our home pool project turned out well beyond our expectations. Joe made suggestions as to the tile we ultimately used, and he also made recommendations for the pool resurfacing itself. All his ideas turned out really well. We've had many, many compliments on his work.  We went with glass tile in a subway tile pattern.
Joe is the hardest working individual we've run across in a long time. We had a deadline (party and out-of-town guests), and he moved heaven and earth to meet it. We can't say enough about Joe and his no-nonsense approach. He listens, and is willing to do what you want, but if you ask for suggestions, he will make them. He is punctual to a fault, and kept the work area clean during the ongoing process.

We called several pool repair companies from  Angie's List.  They were all very nice and knowledgeable, but we liked Joe's down to earth, realistic approach to our blistering 20 year old fiberglass pool.  He was familiar with similar pools at the beach and knew what he could and couldn't promise.  His prices were comparable to the other companies for what he was offering to do.  
 He absolutely fulfilled all our wishes by getting rid of the black spots and making it the inviting sparkling pool it used to be.  Joe was careful about waiting until the water table had gone down so that it was safe to drain the pool.  Once that was done, he was diligent in getting the work done as quickly as possible.  He worked long and hard.  It was not a pleasant or easy task.  When we had questions, we could call him and he responded promptly.  
Joe was a pleasure to work with.   I recommend him highly!

We were in need of getting our pool resurfaced. We called several companies to come out to give us estimates. A few were through local contacts and J&J Pools after reading various reviews on Angies List . I have to say the reviews I read were right on. I contacted Joe on very short notice to stop by to give us an estimate as we live up north and were only down for a few days.  He said he would be over at 7pm and he was there at 7 pm. he gave us some different ideas on what would be best to do. he said it was a simple resurface. We got other estimates from the other companies that actually showed up. ( 2 never made it over at all,1 kept wanting to reschedule and 1 would not be able to start for over a month.  This was just for an estimate. Our feeling was if you can't make over for a estimate we're surely not going to use you for a repair. Once we got back up north and thought of who we were going to go with we decided to go with J&J. 
 I had a set time we were coming back down and Joe was able to fit us in to that time even though he had a big job he was starting.He told me what day he would start, he started on that day and 3 days later he was filling the pool on the day I had to leave to go back up north.  I don't think any other contractor would have made those arrangements to adjust to my schedule like Joe did  One more thing, the place was spotless when he was done. We would recommend Joe and J&J Pools for any pool resurfacing.
  We are also in the process of having Joe do some other work on our Lanai.

We have a 22 year old pool which was in need of resurfacing.  I tried contacting several pool restoration businesses but was directed to voicemail or email, where I left messages requesting an estimate for the job.  Joe Polewski, owner of J & J Pools answered his phone when I called and since he was working in my area agreed to stop in at the end of that day to give us an estimate, which he provided during that visit.  When we did not hear back from any of the other businesses we contacted Joe and told him the job was his.  He laid out his plan for us and hit every single deadline, from draining the pool to prepping the surface to having a crew on site to apply the new surface.  The process took 3 days from beginning to end and we are delighted with the results.  It looks like a brand new pool.
Joe and his crew were prompt, non disruptive, and highly skilled.  The worked quickly and efficiently and when the job was completed Joe himself power washed the surrounding area of the lanai, as well as the screens, and left the place spotless.  We highly recommend J & J Pools.
I should also note that by the time some of the other businesses even bothered to return our calls, Joe and his crew had already completed the job.

I do want to say he showed up the next day to give me an estimate.  He spent adequate time with me so I could tell him exactly what I wanted done.  He gave me a verbal estimate right then, but did e-mail me a written estimate the next day.  It was detailed and explained what would be done.  I called him a couple of days later to ask some questions that I hadn't thought of while he was here.  He was nice and answered all my questions.    

I was pleased with the estimate process and I did check his business out with the county to verify his license and checked with the Better Business Bureau and everything checked out.

Went excellent. Joe the owner was on the job and doing the job with his crew. No sub contractors. They said they would be there at 8 and they were. They were very efficient, cleaned up each day after they were through. Job took 4 days and in between rain. We are so happy with the job. Joe was referred to us from Matt, the owner of the Pinch a Penny Store as 1242 Pine Island Rd. in the Cape.
This is the second referral he has given us and we trust his judgment.  We are happy to refer Joe and his crew to our neighbors.
