Health & Strength Gym

I have been a member off and on for years and this is the best gym around!! I will never go to a different gym ever!! I love the staff and I love that I only get charged when I'm actually able to go. When you have medical conditions that prevent you from working out all the time it's nice to know that you can start and stop as you need to. They are also great at letting you know what is safe and what isn't.

I worked with the trainer until I felt comfortable with knowing the correct way to work some of the machines or with using free weights. I had never used free weights before but used them during our training sessions (the cost was very good). He worked me hard, as a trainer should do, but knew when to back off. Very good sense of humor and kept me laughing most of the sessions. It's a great way to get in shape.

As far as price, Mike offers a great deal. I had called all of the fitness centers in Cape Coral. I went to visit 3 of them. Mike's gym has everything you could want. He even has protein shakes that are great tasting. He works a great deal for and quot;snow birdsand quot; like me. The other gyms would have charged me to put my account on and quot;vacation.and quot;

The gym was great while we went; however, major problems started when we tried to cancel. I called first and spoke to the manager on duty and she said there was no problem and would cancel the membership for me. The charges were set up as automatic billing on my credit card, and I noticed another charge went through. It was only days after I called so I thought the charge was already in progress and I let that go. I continued to get charged monthly fees, so I wrote a letter next. I have been back and forth in communication with the owners since then, who tell me they can't make any restitution for the months I was charged after the initial conversation because they were not the owners then. I don't really care who the owners were and are now. When you buy a business you inherit the good and the bad and they should be willing to compromise. I continued to be charged for about 7 months total, which adds up to $280, and so far they are unwilling to even consider that this was their mistake and they should fix it.
