I called for service on a non-working older air conditioner. Service tech came out within a couple of hours. He found the problem and made a temporary fix. Next day he came back with repair part to keep it working. Total cost $150 The thing is, I had previously had a well-advertised AC company who charges $19.95 for an estimate. They wanted .$650 to make a repair, but pushed replacing the system for $5,800. Actually, they had mis-diagnosed the problem completely. Thank goodness I called Griffith.

Great! I called late Sunday and Brian was here at 9 am on Monday..diagnosed the problem and Matt brought the new motor in less than an hour. We were up and running quickly. We also purchased a bottle of Pro Treat to keep the drain pan odor free

Overall they were excellent. I'm not sure they could have done anything better. I have absolutely no complaints. I would give them an A. Their responsiveness was outstanding. I would absolutely use them again.

When we moved to Florida 13 years ago, one of the first things we had to do was replace the A/C system. Being from New England, we had no experience with cooling except for bedroom window units, so it was a shock when we were confronted with Florida cooling expenses.
Now we were again faced with replacing the A/C. Thanks to Angie's List and the recommendation of friends we chose Griffith Cooling & Heating. They were timely, professional and friendly and after inspection of the work quoted a price more than $1,000 less than what we paid 13 years ago!
What was unique about this job was that Cape Coral codes had changed in 13 years and it looked like we might need some modifications to roof supports in the attic in order to comply with access requirements. They were able to relocate the air handler and even supplied the decking supports to accommodate the code requirements. This saved me the time and expense of finding another contractor to fix the problem.
The work went flawlessly (from my perspective) and we were up and running in a few hours. Incidentally, the reason for the new units was a compressor leak from the rusted tank as well as the overall age and condition of the old unit. So as not to have us without cooling for the few days until the new unit was installed, they added coolant and were able to keep the old unit working.
Now all I need to do is figure out how to program the new thermostat.

I love this company. I have used them several times and each time I have been so pleased with their work. Their tech Paul was great- very professional and does excellent work. On most occasions they were able to send someone the same day when my A/C was broken. Paul once even waited out a storm to get it fixed the same day. The time has finally come to replace my A/C and I have chosen to stay with Griffith to get this done. I will post a review when it's done but I have full confidence that their workmanship will be outstanding and that I will continue to be a very satisfied customer!

Was advised during electric company survey my air conditioning unit not cooling properly. Called Griffith Cooling and heating as they have serviced my unit in the past. They came out the same day and inspected the system. Technician explained to me how the unit functions offered advise and added a little freon. Stated unit was working well but they will follow up with me next month to see how our electric bill reflects their work. Very pleased as always with their honesty and professionalism. Recommend them highly.

We were extremely pleased with the technician that responded. He was absolutely polite, professional, and did a great job. We thought we were on top of things by changing our filters regularly, but he spotted one in the garage that we never realized was there. He measured it for us, and we purchased a filter ASAP. We've used other companies, but we finally found the last one we'll ever use! Highly recommend!!

Used this company because a good friend referred me to them. Had them come out to install a humidistat for the a/c. It was installed and since that day we've had problems with the a/c. Finally called another company to come out. The humidistat was hooked up wrong!! New company fixed the error and now we're customers of theirs for LIFE! I will never use or recommend Griffith Cooling and Heating to anyone i know!

"We apoligize for any misunderstanding that may have occurred with this particular service call as it is from May of 2010 and this complaint was not posted until Jan 26, 2012. Our policy is to respond to any complaints and to resolve them immediately. We did install a humidistat at this property, however we were never notified of any issues with the humidistat or the operation of it. We have and always will, go above and beyond to make a customer happy."

Have had service calls done with the company before, always prompt, professional and reasonably priced. Afterthe last servcie call, there was a reccomendation to replace the unit which was 35 yearsold. The estimate, work done, everything went well. The office personel is very easy to deal with.
