"While you say BEWARE, lets first start with we have always been in communication with you throughout this. Now you have been guilty of hanging up on us and ignoring our calls. The owner has been out, the installation manager, and the door manufacturer. We have installed thousands of doors, and don't you think it's a bit odd that out of all the thousands of doors we've never had an issue with the flooring like at your home? Our install manager was out until 9pm yesterday still searching for a way to cap off your flooring. He went to three different tile companies yesterday explaining the situation and the tile companies all said the floor wasn't finished off properly. But don't worry Julia, we will continue to find a solution for your floor that's not installed properly. I know for a fact most companies would have walked away and made you deal with it. We are trying to find solutions for you as everything we attempt is not good enough. The manufacturer even told you the door was properly installed and was a very high quality install. We have stated numerous times that if the door wasn't properly installed, we will replace it at no charge. We both know that will not change your tile floor. You were also charged $350 for the permitting fee and not $400. We do not claim the permit charge from the city is $350, that's the cost of the combined effort to process the permit. I can't rely on minimum wage people to build permits. Unfortunately its a complicated multi step process. The $350 we charge doesn't give us profit, we still lose, but it covers the majority of the costs. We also have to generate a notice of commencement form, have you sign it, then take it to the clerk of courts to get filed in downtown Fort Myers and then bring it back to the Cape Coral Building Department. I have to pay people for all of those steps. Some permits are over 50 pages of paper, so the costs of printers, paper, ink, also adds up. Any homeowner that would prefer to do this all them self, we will gladly remove the processing fee from their bill. Our pricing doesn't include the cost of all of this so we bill it as a separate line item of $350. My local competitors charge the same and most are $400+. So please stop slandering us all over every media platform, we aren't the bad guys here, you just can't see that."
