Useless to contact them to get information. No one seems to know what the other is doing.

Our initial meeting with Steve, our salesman, went well and nothing out of the ordinary. We decided to go ahead with the estimate to extend our current screened in lanai another 10 ft out and 24 ft across. The work progressed in a timely fashion that corresponded to their estimate that was given to us when we sent in our contract. So far everything was ok except that we didn't like the fact the crew's just showed up with no advanced notice or on any kind of schedule. After the work was completed is when I really started having issues with the company. I called Steve to voice complaints about the fact that 1: the old screen was removed but the caulking was still there and the stucco was damaged from the removal, 2: there was now a concrete lined trench around the edges of the lanai that holds water and looks more like a moat than anything. Steve was full of excuses and I lost my patience with him and hung up the phone. I called the main office and put in a work order for these things to be repaired. I was informed that it was in our initial contract that no repairs are done to the stucco and the removal of old caulking is my responsibility. I thought that was a joke but we did the work ourselves. The concrete lined trench I am still trying to have filled with sod. The company agreed to fill it but it has been weeks and I keep calling to no avail. Don't use fabritech.

Terrible.
First issue was with pavers works was delayed by 3 weeks, told me that they were delayed because of production.  We originally picked everything out as well as design, 10 weeks prior to starting project, we were told pavers took about 5 to 6 weeks so we would be in great shape. Not true, I had to make numerous calls to the salesman to find out where and when we would start.  All I heard from him was that he had submitted the order (trying to cover his butt).  Finally, I threated to cancel the order and unbelievably the pavers showed up.
Second issue,
I told the salesperson that our development required them to use the landscape/irrigation company for shutting off and rerouting the sprinkler line.  I gave the sales person the contact information and told him that it was imperative that this be handled through the developments provider.  I confirmed and reconfirmed that all of this was done prior to starting the project, and was assured that everything was handled. NOT SO.
I found out yesterday that our water for the yard as well as neighbors, was capped and we had no water for the past 3 weeks.  Needless to say, I contacted the salesman, to once again hear excuses that he made a call and never heard back. Rather than call me to get involved, they found out where the line was and capped it without establishing a secondary line to take care the rest of my yard as well as the neighbors.  Now we have severe damage to our lawns and shrubs that the company is going to have to replace because again they failed to communicate.

We called during the 3rd wk. of July on Thurs. Steve said he would come on Mon. or Tues.  On Tues. we called to inform him that we would have certain hours available on that day since he hadn't called yet.  Person on phone said they didn't know where he was or if on his schedule.  Thurs. eve. found a message on our phone saying that he would be there the next day, if ok.  Called Fri. a.m. to cancel his visit.  He still showed up, but by then we had made alternate arrangements because we were so frustrated with the lack of communication and response.

Fabritech was called in to repair 3 pool cage screens that had holes in them. Repairman arrived on a Friday, April 12 and  was supposed to call first but didn't so lucky I was at home. We were discussing the repair when I noticed a larger section of screen had come loose from the overhead part of the cage. The repairman suggested that perhaps I get an estimate of replacing all the screening vs. trying to replace the aging screens section by section. The repairman offered to contact the office for me although I said I'd make the call myself. He insisted and I agreed trusting someone from the office would call. We patiently waited for a return phone call and I was aware that they were busy. However, when we hadn't heard by April 23, I placed a call into the office to talk to Shirley who is the rep who came out to estimate an earlier job for us. The receptionist told me Shirley was in a meeting and she would return my phone call. That afternoon, Barry (who had accompanied Shirley for the previous job), called my husband. My husband explained we had been waiting for a call for an estimate on complete cage rescreening and Barry said no one knew anything about it. Barry said he would call us back and let us know when he'd be able to come out and give us an estimate on the re-screening of the pool cage. Well, today is May 1st and Barry, nor anyone else at Fabritech, has bothered to return our phone calls. I'm terribly disappointed. So no only did I NOT get an estimate, I still have holes in some screens in the pool cage.

The whole project took 7 months.  My experience with them was that I had a contract to have a specific design and they didn't do it.  They just did their own design and they said it was because of the hurricane.  I was in Virginia and I came back.  I asked them why they didn’t tell me that they were going to change the design as it was not in the contract.  The salesman came out and asked me what I was looking for.  I told him about the screens on the porch and pointed out the defects.  I would not recommend them to anyone.  The sales lady was very helpful and the follow up guy was very friendly.  The response was very slow.

We called Fabri-Tech for an estimate about a week to a week and a half before Christmas - I was not expecting a fast turn around considering I had called around a busy holiday season.  JD called me back that day and set up a time for him to come out and look at the area that worked for both of us in a pretty quick timeframe.  He called with his estimate and it was a little over what we had budgeted but we had other estimates and came to find we were probably not realizing how much it really should cost.  The other companies also told us they'd suggest only going 15 or 16 ft out and leaving the remaining 4 or 5 feet uncovered and I really didn't like that idea JD and Fabri-Tech said there would be no problems with height at the end of the 20 full feet.  SO GLAD we listened - we were nervous it was going to be very short at the end but it is not.  We signed the contract and they got the paperwork started for the permit - JD explained this process was the longest and would take 3 weeks at most.  Once they got to the end of that process he called me and told me dependind on when they got the "ok" from the city they'd be out to get started by wednesday of the next week.  (being the eternal pessimist I thought if they make it here by thursday we'll be good)  Two men showed up that following Monday morning around 8:30-9 were very professional and very cordial - the entire thing was up before 4 pm and finished.  JD called me and asked about when I was comfortable setting up a date to give him the check (you do not pay until it is all over) and I told him I'd feel better if we waited until the city came out and pulled the permit (signed it and said it was all good)  and instead of arguing or telling me that was crazy, he said "no problem call me when they get there - should be in the next week or two"  It was about a week and a half later - I called JD and left him a message and he got back to me and we arranged a time for him to come by and get payment.  It was much less stressful than I had expected the whole experience to be.  The structure itself is very sturdy and put together very well.  We are so happy we went with Fabri-tech.  I would def recommend them and recommend JD to anyone who is interested in having a screened room added to their home.

The guy put an attachment against my property because my builder had not paid him $6500 or so that I had agreed to pay for the provision, when they put the screen up around the pool.  The reason why my builder did not pay them was because he did not pull the permit.  I guess there are two stage process where you fill out the permit at the Town Hall and then when the work is completed you then pull the permit, pay for the permit which was in the neighborhood of $265 and get it all approved.  He wanted to get paid and he never pulled the final permit for the final inspection.  So my builder refused to pay him until such time as that permit was pulled and the final inspection was done and signed off on.  The thing is the inspector had those guys come back here and do more work.  So my builder was actually protecting me because essentially Fabri-Tech could have walked away with my money and I would not have had it inspected.  My builder forced the issue and forced the guy to get the permit, pay for the permit, get the inspections done, get the corrections done, and I had it approved.  They did a good job and it was done pretty much to code, eventually to code and they did a good job.  The point is don’t turn your back to them.  In the end they did a good job, according to code and according to what I paid for.  When somebody slaps a lien on you that sends a clear message.  In fact he was not doing his job when he in fact had put the lien on me he had not done the right thing.  Price wise their original price was higher than their competitors.  Once they found out that somebody else was coming in they sharpened their pencil.  Professionally, the two mechanics that came here to do the work were very good.  The guy who was the monkey range in the operation was the owner.  The mechanical guys were good it was the management who messed it up.  It is owned by this one guy and he is the management.  Fabri-Tech would be well down in my list.
