 + 0 moreComplete nightmare. Gino Alberico is an inexperienced builder but a very experienced scam artist. Several (10+) subcontractors were not paid in full, shabby construction that STILL won't pass county code, and too many deviations from blueprints to mention. The builder Gino worked for.. another development Corporation, strung out my lawsuit for 3 years before refusing to defend itself in court. I was awarded a default judgment. The custom home photo on the Belletino website is the home built for development corporation owner Chris Anthony. Also... to sum up this guys character, during early construction of my home I agreed to do the 'neighborly' thing and allow my next-door neighbor to run his sewer line across my property for free. Gino went behind my back and charged my neighbor $2000 for use of my property. My neighbor wrote a check to Gino! This was my property not the builders property! I did not find out about the $2000 payment until 2 years later. This is documented in the county court system and Gino eventually admitted guilt. Stay away. Buyer beware!

Gino's proficiency with blue print evaluation, cost estimating, labor and material scheduling and building codes/inspection is joined with his wife Valerie?s background in design, marketing and project management. Bellatino has the expertise as well as the desire to create beautifully appointed homes. Gino was the general contractor for another Development Corporation prior to starting Bellatino Builders. The guy can't read a blueprint. He can evaluate a blueprint to rip-off the customer to save himself money. Material scheduling?... I have several liens against my home because of failure to pay subcontractors in full. Several subs walked off the job. Labor scheduling?... My home was to be built in 1 year. It took 25 months. Proficiency with building codes? He built my 7500 sf home WITHOUT collar ties in the attic. My interior walls are not plumb! He just drywalled over anyway. This county code violation was never fixed. He built my indoor pool room with REGULAR DRYWALL rather than 'cement-backed' drywall. County code violation was never fixed. How I got an occupancy permit I'll never know. I think Gino is very 'proficient' with the inspectors.

 + 0 moreGino Alberico was the general contractor responsible. Before he received any money, he was very responsive and it was easy to get a hold of him. Afterward, it was still OK to talk to him, but he seemed to weasel his way out of responsibility for repairing any work done by the subcontractors. We had problems with clean up, with over ordering of bricks (at our cost) and with a few other facets of the job. I ended up having to clean up the work myself and by the end, I decided not to pursue him any longer regarding the deck. He did hire a great deck builder to design the deck, but the brick work and communication with him were a problem.
Description of Work: Bellatino Builders was responsible for construction, deck building, and brick work on the deck. They sub-contracted everything to various degrees of success.
