ripped me off big time , charged me 25 dollars a foot, and I have a 32 ft boat, spend a lot of time in his car, worked alone, and told me he had helpers,, he did not, I wanted some clear coat addressed and he used nothing but a cleaner wax , and it looked ok from about 15 ft away, but swirl marks everywhere and I had to go to the auto parts store after he left and bought rubbing compound and did it myself, do not hire this guy, he is a nice guy, but,, has no idea how to charge the correct price, stole 800 bucks, lol well its my bad,, not his, live and learn,

I arranged by phone for "All around boat detail, llc", to detail my boat, based upon Angie's List recommendations, and talking to Simon, the owner, and being assured that he was familiar with my boat brand, model, and size.  The quoted price of $20/ft. was above the industry standard in my experience, but I believed I would get superior service, as my boat was heavily oxidized and I knew it would need extra work.  After arriving and seeing my boat, The business owner agreed to go ahead.  All that was done was a light buff/wax from the waterline to the rub rail.  Above that, he gave up in the gunwale cap area below the rub rail, and it was clearly evident where he had buffed then given up.  Nothing was done on the deck or the inside the deck/cockpit other than cosmetic wipe of seats and eisenglass- NO BUFFING of walkway walls or front deck surface.  I did not expect anything on the boittom or on the nonskid walkway surfaces.  They simply did not have the equipment or experience to handle a heavily oxidized fiberglass boat that needed serious elbow grease and compounding.  OK job if you only need a buff and wax, but you don't need to pay $20/ft. for that!  Live and learn, never do this without a job specific signed performance contract.  I will do myself if able.  - capt. The boat sparkles! There were some windy and rainy days that caused delays, but Simon called every day to confirm when the weather would permit him to continue. He removed the windshield to polish it, allowed us to use some epoxy he had to patch a few scratches, waited while we put on new registration numbers and then waxed over them, and even worked on it on his birthday/anniversary. He treated our boat as if it were his own. We like him, will work with him again, and recommend him without hesitation.

Simon did a great job. He was professional and courteous and my boats looked great when he was finished. He and his sister are meticulous professionals. I am writing this review 4 months after he cleaned and waxed every inch of the boats and they still look good. We will use him again and I have recommended him to other boaters.
