I started my termite damage contract with Environmental Security in Aug '09. My roof was damaged by Hurricane Sally in Sep '20, and I had to wait till Dec '20 to get it replaced. After paying ~$200/yr for renewal inspections over 10 years, plus ~$500 for a warranty booster in 2016, they wouldn't renew my contract because my annual inspection happened while I was waiting for my roof to be replaced. I had regular communications with the office staff to keep them updated on progress of my roof, and I was under the impression everything would be fine. However, at the end of the day, Steve told me there was nothing they'd do, and I'd have to pay $900 to start a new contract plus $330 annually going forward. So much for any loyalty to customers. Hopefully I can find a better, more understanding, company.

They do a good job of keeping my lawn and shrubs looking good during the year. They are reasonably priced. It only takes them about 15-20 minutes to complete the work.

I've used EnSec since I purchased my house in Cantonment in 2008 without problem. When they branched out into lawn care, I had them come to give estimate. Lawn treatments were more expensive than TruGreen but I decided to go ahead and sign up with EnSec to get the multi-service package price break. They left a message to set up aeration of the lawn appointment, but I hadn't had a chance to call them back yet when they arrived at my door at 7am. I had been up until 5am caring for a very sick kitten and I was fried and stressed out. I was also very angry because I hadn't set up an appointment. What were they doing at my house at 7am without an appointment? He needed me to help him run through the sprinkler system so he could map the heads. You wake me up without an appointment and then want me to work?!? I told him to leave and called the office. I don't remember the name of the guy I talked to, a manager, but I was upset and he did get an ear full. We left it where I would get some sleep and he would call me back in a week to discuss whether or not we would continue with the lawn service. He never called back and I forgot. This was over a year ago. EnSec called last week (Nov 2014) to schedule outside pest control and I asked about the termite control. They haven't been doing termite control at my house for over a year. I hadn't been paying attention. Evidently, they stopped servicing my house when we had the issue with the lawn. I never cancelled my service. I didn't receive a notification that EnSec was cancelling my service. Now they want to come out and charge me to restart. They need to re-inspect my house because they dropped the service. The guy came out today and wanted to inspect inside my house as well as outside. I don't want people inside my house. I don't use any pest control inside my house. He offered no solution to not coming in the house, ie...not covering internal house damage or determining whether or not after outside inspection inside would be necessary. I take responsibility for missing the termite control for the last year. I had used EnSec for 5 years pretty much automatically so termite control wasn't on my to-do list. My fault. But their fault for stopping service in the first place. I never canceled my service. May be the guy I spoke with stopped my service to be spiteful since I yelled at him on the phone. Of course at this point I won't use them at all. So not only have they lost a long-term customer, but now they've gotten a lousy review.

Update to previous review. It's been a week since I last contacted this company in regards to termite bond and annual pest control. My last contact I left another message and to this day have never heard back from them. I would seriously recommend using someone who is professional and provides you with documentation for termites and this company isn't it.

Update on prior review. I've contacted Enec several times to get documentation for the Termite bond and after 3 weeks still can't get the documentation or reply. Left another message last night and as of tonight at 9pm never received a return phone call. I wouldn't use this company and don't trust them and I have a Termite bond with them good till Sept of 2015 and I'm looking at paying another company to do treatment and issue a Termite bond with actual coverage. I can't confirm but I've been told this company previously went under another name and had several civil actions taken against them. They don't return a call and even after speaking to two different people I can't get documentation that shows the limits of coverage and the rest of the details. Remember if everything isn't in writing it doesn't exist and it seems this company prefers it that way. They have no problem taking your money and giving quotes for annual pest control as well but won't provide documentation or return phone calls. They will tell you the limits over the phone which means nothing if you have a problem.

I recently purchased a home and the previous owners have a Termite bond and treatment with Ensec. During my home inspection I had a Termite inspection with another company. The inspection came out fine with the area's they were able to check however there were no holes drilled and the guy stated he wasn't sure how they were treating the property without doing this. I contacted Ensec several times because I only have the receipt for date of treatment and the exp of the termite bond and inquired about the amount of coverage from Termite damage. I was advised they cover 100k if damage is caused by Termites within the coverage period. I asked on several times by phone and email if they could send me on the contract so I have something in writing showing the coverage and the details and after almost a month and several phone calls I haven't received a thing. I also inquired about yearly pest control coverage and was given a price but also asked to have the yearly contract sent out in writing and a month later and several phone calls I've received nothing. The last two times I've actually contacted them and more then one specific person I haven't even received a response back. Due to the fact I've never heard of Termite treatment being done this way and neither did the Termite inspector, not receiving the documentation for the coverage I have with their Termite bond I'm debating hiring another company and paying for another Termite bond so I can actually get something in writing.
I will update this in the next few days if I receive a call back from my last message left today and if I ever receive the needed documentation for a service/bond that has already been paid for. As someone who used to work in pest control this seems very shady and I would never do business with a company that will not provide you with documentation of your coverage. If you don't have a contract in writing you are throwing away your money on treatment and a yearly bond and this is not how a professional pest control company does business. After reading some of the other reviews I should have looked into this instead of waiting so long making several calls to get this information that they won't provide.

I've had the service for 8 months and so far they have been very responsive and very good. Every time I see any bugs I call and the come out within 3 days and I don't see anymore bugs for several months. Very good pest work. Yard has no weeds and zero fire ant hills. I know they are around, because my neighbors yard has fire ant mounds all over. I've got zero, so that service is definitely working.

I had a problem with rats, palmetto bugs and sewer drain flies. I had tried to take care of the rats and flies myself. I was unsuccessful. I decided it was time to let the professionals take care of it. John came out and suveyed the situation and treated all the drains for the flies and intructed me on what it was going to take to get rid of the flies. We decided to go with the quarterly service which I thought was very reasonable. The office scheduled for their tech Robert to provide the quarterly service. The day for Robert to come out I had a very tight schedule. Rober was right on time and performed the services to be done including inspecting our rat infestation. Robert placed some traps in the attic and two days later our problem was taken care which made my wife very happy. NO MORE RATS. Robert sprayed inside and outside for the palmetto bugs and others.

They did finally come out to fix the program after dozens of phone calls and months of waiting.

After my own research, i can say that this treatment method is the only one that assures elimination of bed bug infestation. It was expensive but provides the best insurance against legal action by future renters and is the right thing to do in any case. the crew were helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. No hidden charges or surprises.

I've been using Environmental Security since 2007 when I bought the house. They did the original inspection. They come four times a year and do the termite control application. They mail you to tell you it is time for you to book your next inspection and application. They are quick and they are here when they say they're going to be here. They are very professional. They wear uniforms and they are neat. When they come in the house they take off their shoes because they've been in the yard.
