Allen's Home and Rental Repair

Allen and his crew arrived actually a few minutes early to begin work.  Our condominium storage room was a disaster after the massive floods of April 29, 2014.  They removed all tools, boxes of lighting and landscaping supplies, extra fence rails and lumber, and metal shingles from the room and began work.  They installed metal shelving  on 2 walls, installed tool and ladder hanging equipment throughout, and they also built a wooden frame hanging from the ceiling and back wall to hold odd pieces of lumber, replacement 8-foot fence rails and the like.  They re-placed all our items in the new storage room in a very organized and user-friendly fashion. They constructed a 1-1/4" high support system to hold metal shingles, getting them off the concrete floor and out of the way.  They hung metal shelving in our electrical room for more storage.  They made excellent use of much previously wasted space.
These gentlemen worked steady and very hard in 100+ degree heat, did an exceptional job for us in just over 5 hours.  Did I mention that the cost actually came in more than $50 under budget?!!  (Allen's quote was very fair to begin with!)  We are very pleased with Allen and his team, and will definitely call on them for future projects. I needed help with the renovation of a recently purchased bank owned home. Allen's Home and Rental repair worked for me over the course of about 3 weeks in March. They were dependable, agreeable and trustworthy.  I gave a B on quality only because they did so many different tasks for me that  no one could do all I asked perfectly! They were better at some jobs than others but all were good. or excellent. Anytime something was not right they looked into it and made it right.  They contacted me when plans had to be changed and they couldn't make it. They worked well with other people who were working on the house, for example roofers, to coordinate the jobs so that the order of the tasks made sense.  Allen helped me "think outside the box" when needed. I was on a budget and they respected that. One thing that was great about this company is that they can do so many different jobs that I did not have to call a lot of different companies. Overall I feel that I was fortunate to have found this company. I felt comfortable around them and since I was working everyday with them this was important to me. I would absolutely hire them again. Very polite, nice guys.

They were great.  We are fixing up an OLD house to sell and there was noting square, nothing a standard size, yet they made it look like new.  They were there when they said they would be or sent a text well in advance.  They cleaned up all their mess, and did several little repairs we found after we had signed the contract.  Bottom-line, I would never look for anyone else now that I have found them!

He returned all call, when the weather was bad he called or emailed to reschedule. He was polite and courteous and worked quickly. He actually finished sooner and refunded me part of his fee. I would totally recommend Allen. He is a breath of fresh air, a throwback to the time when honest hard work was the standard.

My experience with them was very good. He was right on time, went over and above the call of duty for hanging the curtains and measuring and he even went to purchase them for me because I'm disabled and he did a fine job. He was very kind and he also added a kindness of his heart fold the table for me, kind guy.

He has done a lot of odd jobs for us and has always done a very good job. He is extremely reliable and we always call him first.

I called several people and he was the only one that called back.  Very punctual, polite, and professional.  Would definitely use again.

I found Allen here on Angie's list, I called Allen about getting an estimate to build a front porch on our house when he came out and started talking to us he was a very nice and polite young man and when we told him how we wanted the porch build and that we had all the material to build it he said he had no problem using our material we then told him that we wanted the porch to be 10 x 13 and a hip roof on it then Allen told us that he would call us later the same day with an estimate and he did call us back the same day and the estimate was a very good price so we got him to build our porch on the first day of the job Allen and his crew were very polite and nice to my husband and me after they finished the porch it was just the way we wanted it now we are having him give us and estimate on putting siding on our house. Allen's prices for his work is a great price and we will be telling our family and friends that if they need any work done to call Allen because he is very great at building

Our front doors are cherry wood with mahogany finish with embedded leaded glass and they are 20 years old.  We must maintain the wood every spring.  However, with the amount of rain we had this spring/summer we had to wait.  It was time.  I found Allen on Angie's List.  We called him on a Saturday and were very impressed with his promptness in giving us a free estimate the next day (Sunday) as my husband & I work.  The next Saturday he came to spot test the door to match the stain.  
Two days later, Allen came and prepped the doors and stained.  The next day he applied finish.  On top of that, he corrected some splits in the wood from age and weathering.  The overall completion was perfect!  The doors look brand new!  We'd had done in the past by others, but nothing compares to the absolute perfection performed by Allen.  We highly recommend him. We will DEFINITELY use his services from now on.  Thank you, Allen, for a fantastic job!
