General Remodeling
We gave Morneau a check for $44,000.00 on Thanksgiving Day 2009, to do the first phase of the remodel. The first phase was to do additions to the bedrooms and kitchen, shingle, new windows, and reroof the whole house.. Work was supposed to start the next day. We called Morneau a few times, and he stated he was on vacation. No one showed for two weeks. Work progressed slowly, the "crew" we were promised was only two men. The color of the shingles we agreed upon were different when we came home to find our garage shingled with a different color then we agreed on. The contractor stopped work on the house in February, saying he was out of money. We have a lien on our house for $8,200.00 from the lumber company he never paid. The only thing he did pay was the subcontractor, approximatley $14,000.00. Our lawyer estimates he owes us $30,000.00.
