It went horrible! Because he put other jobs before mine after he promised to get started right away, it took him over a month to get started on my roof. Everything went terribly wrong. He had lousy helpers as well. While he was working on my flat roof he left the torch on the roof and it started a fire on my roof! Then his nails were too long and went though the ceiling of my beautiful pine wood ceiling. Marion Keith Milne Jr. also used the wrong nails and the Volusia County Inspector cited him for it and he had to tear up my roof to replace them in a certain area. Then I went on the roof to check out what was going on, and I saw he was covering up rotten wood, when I nicely mentioned to him why was he doing that and it needed to be replaced, Kieth started cussing and yelling at me, then he actually threw a roll of underlayment at me hitting my feet! Needless to say I asked him to get off my property or I would call the police. After that, it rained and where he had finished a portion of the roof it was leaking. I asked him to have one of his employees come to fix it and also the county inspector called him numerous times and Keith Milne did not return mine or the Inspectors calls. The inspector could not believe how Kieth was acting, or his poor work and his refusal to return his calls. His employees complained about him as well. They played very loud music, disturbing me and all of my neighbors. His employees also used foul language while on the job. A hurricane was building and coming our way so I had to hire someone else to complete the roof ASAP. This ended up being costly because I had to pay twice to have the roof done as Kieth Milne threatened to take me to court if I did not pay the full amount of the contract even though he never completed the roof and another company had to come in to fix the mistakes that the Volusia County inspector found with Milne Roofing's workmanship. I would NEVER EVER use this company again. Again he set my roof on fire, the inside of my house was damaged by water leaks and nails, and he demanded payment in full or he would pursue costly litigation according to his attorney. He had no remorse for what he did. I would of had an excellent case myself in court my attorney said, but it would of cost more to go to court than to just pay him. I considered it extortion. He also likes to cut corners by using used wood to replace rotten wood and shingles from other jobs that are left over that do not match your original shingles. He also often hires illegal immigrants. Milne Roofing works out of his home and does not have a professional office to visit. Buyer Beware! I would never use this company.
