Beware, this company will mark-up the cost of parts and units over 100%. The company refused to issue an itemized invoice to me as they did not want to show how much they mark-up products and services. I had a capacitor fail in my air conditioner and they charged $500 to repair when the capacitor is approximately $50 to $100 in cost. I bought a pool heater from them and they marked-up the price of the pool heater by over 100%. The unit retails for $3,200 and they charged $7,900 for the unit and the minor plumbing and electrical to install. When asked for an itemized invoice several times they refused. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE PRICE GOUGED!!

Excellent!! They communicate clearly on what they were doing. Talk about my system and a reasonable price. The Tech was upfront and got the job done. I been using for a while.

Poorly. New AC unit installed in April. Leave for 6 months to NJ. Have condo checked on 2x per month. In September some mold appeared. Company sent a tech to follow saw no mold stated all good. 2 weeks later much more mold company sent another tech, also said all was ok. 2 weeks later owner arrives said all was ok. 1 week later I arrive from NJ mold everywhere. Cost me 500.00 for clean up and service call from another company. When unit was installed they put in wrong thermostat which does not control humidity. On their first call had the tech simply lowered the temp mold would not have continued to grow. Or had it ever been suggested to have a different thermostat installed m which was what I originally had I mold would not have continued. No such recommendations were made. We arrived mold everywhere stayed at a hotel for 3 days during clean up. Owner arrived after clean up because he had too for the city of Palm Coast to obtain paperwork for their inspection for permit. He was insensitive and rude but then agreed on a handshake to satisfy us with $300. We never received that agreed amount. Phone calls I made to their office were handled rudely. Bad company, despicable customer service

My wife and I moved to Palm Coast from Massachusetts in August 2015 and wanted to upgrade our existing Carrier heating and cooling unit with a new energy efficient one. I called three companies that I found online and had them come out and give me quotes. I called Palm Coast Heating & Air Conditioning on 12/15 2015 and they sent a representative out the following day and he inspected the unit and existing duct work to be sure that everything was sized correctly for the unit replacement. Bob worked up a proposal for the proper components and answered all my questions and concerns.  I followed up the next day and Bob returned on Friday with a contract for me to sign and went over a possible schedule to install the new Comfort Maker unit which was readily available and could be installed as early as Tuesday 12/22/2015. I gave them the OK and on Tuesday they were there and installed the unit, as promised. The installation team did a fantastic job. They were  great guys, very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They installed new outside and inside components, did all electrical and duct work conversion that was needed and cleaned up all the work areas before leaving. They took care of the building permits and scheduled the inspection from the building department after the new unit was installed. To top it all off, the company owner himself came to my house to drop off the signed permit from the city's inspection for my records and to make sure I was satisfied with the new units performance and answer any questions that I might have. It has been a little over three months now and the new system is great, it is quiet, very efficient and I am totally happy with it and the folks at Palm Coast Heating & Air Conditioning.

After 15 years, we had to replace our current air conditioning system. We called three different companies that were recommended through friends and or on Angie's list. The air handler was located inside the house and we wanted to move it into the garage to open up the utility room.  The estimator from Palm Coast Heat and Air suggested we could mount the air handler from the ceiling of the garage and not lose any space!!! Well, we contracted for the air conditioner. On the appointed day and time two specialist came out and did a great installation job!! Kept me informed of what was happening, answered my questions, and had the unti up and running and everything clean and neat by dinnertime. Great job and great service!

I called the service provider for an annual service appointment. We made the appointment for 3pm. I was there waiting for them. At 3:15 I finally called them since they weren't there yet and was told the technician was in our building at another unit and would be there in about 1/2 hour. I called again at 4:10 when still nobody showed up. They told me they could do the work inside even though it was raining and that they'd be there shortly. They called me at 4:25 letting me know they'd have to cancel and postpone until the following week. Given it's a second home for us, we were leaving on Sunday. We made a special trip early to be there for them and could not stay through the following week. We hung around the house from 2:45-4:30 waiting for them. It was a huge disappointment. They didn't even seem to care or want to accommodate us even after I explained we wouldn't be there. I understand things come up, but they should honor their appointments and be professional and courteous which they were not. They didn't even have the courtesy to call us and tell us they'd be running late.

We use this company to keep our heating and air conditioning system serviced. Easy to make appointment as they sent out bi yearly reminders. System is checked cleaned and outside unit waxed to prevent corrosion from salt air. If our system ever fails we will use the company to fix or replace. Great employees prompt and polite.

Old unit kept leaking refridgerant and I had problems with heat in winter. Kept going into Emergency mode, not acting like heat pump. Electric bills were high. When I called Palm Coast Heat and Air they came over on a weekend within an hour and charged unit up. In one week lost freon again. They came out Friday and recharged unit again so I could have cooling till they could put in new unit. They came out next day with everything and had unit up and running in 5 hours. Men were very professional. Showed me how everthing works. Trane unit is awsome. It is twice as big as unit I had before. Can barely hear unit running and this is important to me as unit is outside bedroom bath area. When old unit was running we could always hear it kick on and run. We could also hear air handler run in garage. Not now. Unit is variable speed and turns compressor and fan to a speed just as it needs. Runs mostly at 59% on hot days. Outdoor unit has a cover on top of fan to keep rain and debris out. Air shoots out sides at top.They cleaned everything up and removed old units and materials. Will see how unit runs in winter for heat mode.

I've never used this company prior to this event but was very happy I choose them!  (used another AC company several other occasions)  I had several others that were recommended even one with a free 1st service call for Angie's list  members to consider.  Because Palm Coast AC sells and services my brand of AC and with a very positive recommendation from a trusted friend I called them.  They were able to schedule an appointment the same day (I was surprised because this is a busy time for this industry)  The service tech Rich arrived on time and was very professional, polite and easy to talk to.  It was a somewhat challenging multi issue problem that took a little extra time to diagnose.  Drawing on my 40 year old understanding of AC repair (worked as service tech in the 70's) it became clear and comforting that Rich was professional, experienced and knowledgeable.  He replaced 2 parts that were under warranty, cooled down a very overheated compressor  and the machine has worked flawlessly ever since.
I'd like to note that the price of this repair was less than it  normally would be because of the discounts applied, new customer and the parts still under warranty.
I will definitely call them again and recommend them to friends (I normally hesitate to recommend a lot of people).

The service was very good. They were very responsive, competitive, and professional.

The two man installation crew arrived on time a few days later and did the job under difficult space constraints and roof accessibility conditions. Both men worked efficiently in tandem, and with excellent workmanship.

They were wonderful. They were excellent. Their prices were very good. They were right on time. The old system died. It was Christmas Eve and they came immediately. They came out to service for the old system originally. It was at the end of its life. They were more concerned with our comfort and yet keeping the price reasonable where it was reasonable. It all cracked out on Christmas Eve and then they replaced everything then. They are now my service providers to my new unit. I would use them again in the future.

Last month my brother came to visit and when I told him what happened he said that didn't sound right to him.  He called Trane and they told him that was not correct - they certainly could have installed zones, although it would have been more than we paid.   They recommended another Trane dealer in the area, who came and made an inspection, telling us they couldn't understand why we were told we couldn't have zones, and they have now installed what we needed, at an additional cost.  When I called Palm Coast Heating they said that when they installed the system you couldn't have zones - that was only four months ago!  Then they said they could come down and do the job themselves.  What bothers me most is that at the time of installation they didn't give me the option - they told me it couldn't be done.   Maybe it was too much work, or maybe they didn't know how to do it - for whatever the reason I felt betrayed and lost my confidence in this company.   I'm not saying they overcharged for the work they did - but because I had to have another company complete the zone system I'm sure I am paying more in labor than I would have had they done the job properly in the first place.

Rich Rossi of Palm Coast Air gave me an estimate at my request.  Palm Coast Air as well recommended by neighbors and I am most pleased with their work.

They are excellent. They did a good job and saved me money. The repair has lasted for years.

I thought they were very good. Everything was fine other than they were $700 higher than another company. I thought that they were very, very prompt, professional and did a grand job.

The work went very well...the condition was quickly diagnosed and corrected. That was followed by a thorough maintenance check and adjustments to fan settings. A follow up inspection will be made in 6 months as part of this visit's cost.The technician was informative with regard to the problem and was professional in personal manner and in attention to the repair.

service man was courteous and very professional and fixed the unit in about ten minutes. company charged me $180 for replacing a $5 cap in ten minutes. spoke to the owner, paul, and he said "i just go by the book." i guess i should be thankful the book didn't say $1000 but i'm not. i'll need a new AC in a few years (and so will my neighbor) and we won't be buying them from Palm Coast Heating and Air Cond. Gouging is repaid by a loss of future business.
