My Sons ceiling caved in, stood by his quote and repaired all the next day when he came back with supplies including paint. Several steps above from what he really just needed to do. Very professional and very happy with the job. I then hired him for a few cracks in my ceiling at my home which he immediately repaired and charged me extremely fair. Randall showed up to look at the project and give me an estimate the same day I reached out. He began the work the following day, kept me advised of the process and called in advance to give us a "heads up" when he would be arriving. The price he gave me was quite better than another quote i had received. Happy with the work and I didn't have to paint! I highly recommend him.

I do NOT RECOMMEND. If I could give NEGATIVE 10 STARS I would. I write a few reviews here and there, but I read a lot of them and often base my decisions on them. That is how I ended up with RANDALL CHANCEY DRYWALL. I purchased a home in a new area, and did not know or have referrals for drywall, texture & paint contractors, so I read a bunch of reviews & interviewed 3 contractors, all with 4.7 ratings or higher. There was a clear first place, but due to scheduling availability, I selected my second choice, Randall Chancey. I'd like to start with the positives. Randall is the BEST at being the WORST. The worst at drywall work, the worst at popcorn removal, the worst at adding knock-down texture and the worst at painting. Randall and his crew were also the MESSIEST workers I have ever seen. I have been a realtor for over 20 years, flipped houses, managed rentals and renovated several of my own homes. I have NEVER, and I mean NEVER had any experience or work product like this in my life. The drywall work was horrible; holes left and painted over; several repairs not done or partially done; holes simply textured and painted; new corner beads (which Randall installed) were not properly mudded in and still visible; and paint inconsistently applied. I specifically mentioned the unfinished drywall work to Randall prior to texture application (holes, skimming corners, etc.) and he told me, he was the drywall expert and, "if I say it's ready for texture, it's ready for texture." The texture is sloppy and inconsistent. Where the popcorn was removed, the seams were not skimmed, so there are visible indentations between drywall sheets, even after texturing. Some popcorn was not removed at all. Randall said he couldn't access some areas â  like over cabinets. WOW, never had any contractor say that before. I came by (I lived 90 minutes away at the time) and removed it myself prior to texturing. Another primary component of the job was to remove strips between all drywall panels and mud the seams smooth. Some strips were not removed at all, simply textured and painted over. His crew mixed mud/drywall on my newly painted deck. It is now stained. Randall said, don't worry, the rain will wash it away. WRONG. Same goes for my black driveway, now stained blue, where apparently paint brushes and rollers were cleaned. Although they removed closet shelving, air diverters, and outlet/switch covers ,all these items were left uncovered while texturing and painting were done. Some were able to be cleaned and re-used, although very time-consuming. Others, like the air-diverters were so clogged with mud, needed to be replaced. My doors (all of them) were also removed. Same story, and none were labeled, so quite a chore to determine which door fit which frame. AND WHY? Randall did not paint doors or trim, so what was the point? Prep and taping must be new to this 40-year veteran of the business as he painted, mudded and textured my sinks, faucets, door hardware, outlets, switches, cabinets, tile floors, tile showers, grout, etc., etc., etc. As far as paint, I supplied Behr premium. But it comes off if you just brush it. Why? DUST. Randall did not cover anything when working, texturing or painting my home. If your walls are covered with dust before you paint them, the new paint, no matter the quality, cannot properly adhere. My floors were so covered, not one panel was salvageable. Full disclosure, at the start of my job, Randall did ask if I was going to replace my floors, I said I was planning to at some point. I didn't realize he would not be covering ANY of them. All my appliances, faucets, fixtures, & even new kitchen cabinets were covered with mud and paint. Multiple light fixtures were broken, so was a smoke You do not have to take my word for it. "I did this job for Allan in his 30 year old double wide mobile home and it was in terrible shape, the floors were rotten and he told me not to worry about covering them and I proceeded to remove the popcorn and bagged up the trash and put it up front that i would not be responsible for removing the trash that I would put it on the outside. It took about a month to complete the job and he continued to remove cabinets that left big holes in the walls the he expected me to fix them for free and I didn't charge him any extra for the big holes. Allan said we messed up his new deck when it was as old as the double wide, my guys did get a little mud on the deck. I offered to power wash it off, but my son-in-law could have told him the rain will remove it. I offered power washing. We volunteered to get it off, and Allan said not to worry. Allan said he was happy with the job and paid me. If he wasn't happy, he should have said something. I wouldn't have taken the money until I got it right. I value my customer's opinion of my work, and it shows in my 212 5 star reviews. I really regret Allan didn't come to me and tell me, because we would have corrected it. I fired the people who worked for me on this job, so this will never be an issue again."

Randall was very professional and courteous, as well as talented and skilled in drywall repair. He fixed several significant ceiling and wall drywall cracks, and applied a textured finish to make them look good as new. He took the time to add structure behind the ceiling drywall to make sure there would be no future drywall movement. I highly recommend Randall Chancey for any drywall repair work.

I am well-pleased with the work Mr. Chancey performed on my bathroom. He completely gutted it and replace it with the correct products that should have been used when my bathroom was originally added to my patio. He was very professional and kept me informed throughout the job. His price was very reasonable, too. He even shared ways how he can get me discounts on the materials needed for the repairs.

Randy did an amazing job enclosing an open space for us! He made sure to remove the existing drywall and built the support structure so it was wood to wood. Then he did a extremely professional job of installing, taping, mudding and then texturizing the new drywall! He then called to check on us (twice!) as we did our own painting to ensure we were happy with the finished project. We would highly recommend him for any of your drywall needs!

I recently hired Randall to do some work in my downstairs half bath, the work consisted of replacing drywall, replacing missing tile, installing new trim along the floor, installing quarter round along the new trim and of course painting the entire half bathroom. Randall did an excellent job on all of it, in fact after completing the job he felt the tile needed more grout and called me and asked to come back and add more grout, with the reasonable rate he charged, I couldn't be pleased more. Randall is now in my contacts list and will be getting calls from me when I start my next project and not to mention referrals from me to friends and neighbors. I highly recommend this professional to anyone who wants the job done right at a fair and reasonable price.

I had water damage and mold. Randall Chancey cut out the damaged drywall, replaced the drywall, retextured it to match, replaced the baseboards, and repainted everything. I fixed the stress crack and applied a knockdown texture, got the paint matched and painted the area. He then asked me to look at a crack in the house on a 45 degree corner that I repaired and applied an orange peel texture at no charge.
