Mobile RV Repair By Mr Fix It

The tape that was used was a substandard window flashing and petroleum based. Within 7 months the tar was dripping down on the sides of the trailer. We called Chris on 5-19 and requested he come out and look and repair problem. He said he would be out on 5-21 and told us to use WD40 to clean the tar off. That made it worse. He never came on the 21st or the 22nd. When we finally got him on the phone there was a lot of whining and excuses, but he finally came out on sat. 5-23 and said he did not have time to repair it due to being back logged but could schedule it for 6-6. We had a vacation planned for the 4th and could not wait. We called him and asked for our money back because he would not make the job right. We had to repair this before our trip and would do it ourselves if he would just agree to refund our money. Within 24 hours the rains and heat accelerated the gooey mess and we called on 5-24 to say we were taking the weekend to scrape the tar off the roof before it got any worse. His wife called later and said he could come out on sat. 5-30. I explained that we had 4 family members up on the roof stripping and cleaning as we spoke and she put Chris on the phone. More whining and excuses, but before we hung up he said he would refund our money. It's a week later. We still haven't seen the money or Chris. He made an appt with us for sat. the 30th to cut us a check, but then broke the appt. We called him back and he said he had another job and couldn't make it, but would pay for materials. We told him we wanted full reimbursement for the mess he created. He said he'd be in the area around noon, but never showed. We have called, but he doesn't call back. It took very little research on our part to find out that the material he used is not compatible with the original rubber caulk on the trailer. He has never been dependable or kept his word. He is so busy trying to cover his tracks and make excuses that he hasn't the time to do the job right or listen. He said we got ahead of ourselves and did the job without waiting for him, but he is not dependable and we had to have this fixed by the week of 6-1, aside from the fact that the heat and rain was creating an enormous mess. He has never shown up on time and we could not chance that he would stand us up again.
