Owners are very nice.  Assisted me with finding a company to pour the pad.  They also took care of all of the technical drawings and permits.   It looks great!
Response from Historic Shed
"So glad you are happy with your pavilion. There have been many comments on how lovely the blue brackets are."

Historic Shed is excellent. We were at the end of a big rehab project to restore our recently purchased 1923 home. At the tail end of the project we decided the ultimate accent would be to add traditional wood screens around the home. The kind that hand from hooks on the outside.
We called Historic Shed and the owner at first said they no longer would do screens. But after some coaxing and knowing it was a decent size order they agreed. We asked them to paint the wood frames in the same color as another accent on the house.
They showed up to measure and quote at the scheduled time and built more than 20 beautiful full window size wood framed screens, and flawlessly installed them around the home on 2 stories.  All was done on time with no cost overrun.
The quality of craftsmanship is excellent. In another year or two I may decide to replace a garage door or the entire small garage in the same craftsman style. If I go that route I would definitely ask Historic Shed if they can do the job.
The house looks beautiful and the windows are now accented perfectly.

Working with Historic Shed was a pleasure. We had trouble finding someone to make replacement custom wooden screens for our historic home. Several screens were missing when we purchased the home, and 22 large windows needed screens made to match the existing screens. We needed screens made and installed to the specifications of the historic district. From initial contact, to measuring, through installation, Historic Shed was responsive, prompt, and created excellent screens that fit perfectly (on historic windows that are odd sizes) and match the existing screens perfectly. The price per screen, including installation, was on the low end of what we had been quoted by contractors, and the turnaround time was much faster than we had been quoted elsewhere. The employees were all courteous, clean, and professional. I was extremely pleased with the entire transaction, and am enjoying open windows this fall.

The experience went very well; they were excellent. The work was good; the wife is an architectural designer so they designed the shed to match the architecture of my house, which was built in 1926. They showed up when they said they would and did it within the time frame they said they would. We are very happy with it and they did a couple of extra things we asked them to do. Their work makes the things they built for us look unique and original. We liked them and they lived up to our expectations. They were easy to work with and very personable; they responded to requests and calls. I had no difficulties at all. I liked the materials they used and he worked through some inclement weather to get the job done on time.

I live in a bungalow that was built in 1925. When I purchased the house, it had a funky old shed that totally creeped me out to enter. I am a gardener so I had to go in it often to access my supplies. Ick!
I decided that I needed something nicer, so I started pricing pre-built sheds. They were expensive, not historic & UGLY.  My house is beatifully restored, my garden lush & lovelyl, & I did not want some unattractive lump sitting in it.
I had some plans drawn for a shed & got some prices for all the trades I would need- capenter, roofer, painter- for a tiny shed! It all added up to too much plus, I had just completed the restoration of a 1907 Victorian. I needed a rest.
I called Historic Shed & was happily surprised at the price they quoted for everything! Because of their great reputation, I even let them pick the hardware & design the doors. I never let anybody choose for me but I was tired of making choices. I was thrilled with the doors & the wonderful hinges they brought. The best part was that it was installed in just over a day. I am sure that it would have been a month long project with all the trade co-ordinating that would have had to have been done to built it.
I now have a shed that is the mini-me version of my beautiful bungalow. It holds everything I need & it is clean & fresh. I am looking forward to another season of gardening so I can visit it!

The quality of the product is excellent.  They beautifully fit into the 1920's period of our home's construction.  The workmanship and painting of the wood frame was superb.  After the installation, we noticed some unfinished work. on a couple of the windows.  We contacted Jo-Anne and she indicated they would come back when scheduling permitted.  Unfortunately, they were heavily backlogged, and it took about three months for the specialist to return.  But, they did return and finished the work to our satisfaction.

After being turned down by other screen companies on the list, a friend suggested I call Historic Shed. Jo-Anne responded fast, measured my windows and even helped us decide on historic colors to paint our house (and the screens). The screens are beautiful and solid (much more sturdy than the flimsy aluminum ones we had) and Craig's paint job adds a nice dash of accent color to the house. The screens are also easy to remove, a plus from the old ones. Based on the quality of the screens and the time it took for Craig to install them, I think the price was more than fair. These guys are good.
