He gave a competetive price. He had "tornado work" in another part of the county and wanted to delay my service, but I had arranged to be off work so he showed up as agreed upon. He had a new crew on my job and he was not there most of the time...he gave them explicit instructions, but they did not follow those instructions...they were terrible. He was very upset with them and their work and made it right in the end. He is a good guy, just bad luck on my job! The climber dropped trees on my fence, shrubs, lawn instead of roping them down as agreed upon; they took down some very large pines in a subdivision. There was no leadership from the head climber. They worked alot harder when the owner was there! He really cracked the ship. He had so much else going on that he could not be there the whole time on my job. He did have insurance and worker's comp. I liked him personally and he did keep his word. I would hire him again, but would insist that he be there, or a more experienced team leader/climber be there.
