This guy is such a nice guy, pleasant. He's got the most advanced equipment and procedures. When we go there to get an eye exam, it's so thorough it takes an hour and a half by the time we get there and leave. All the procedures that he does and he's such a polite soft spoken gentleman. I think he's fantastic. He's not the cheapest guy in town but it's the eyes, so it's only once a year or every other year, so I can afford that. Whenever I call to make an appointment, it's pretty soon, like a week or 2 at most. It's not like we have an emergencies that we have to use him. The office is very clean and professional. That's another thing I like about this guy, you ask him a question and he goes into great detail. He is very patient, very detail oriented. Extremely knowledgeable. He's probably been in the business 50 years.

I had a routine eye exam. Dr. W checked my pressures and we discussed his findings with that of the Optometrist. His finding concurred. I need new glasses. I was able to use may existing frames and just get new lenes.

The nurses preformed nearly an hour and a half of standard exams. By the time the doctor came around, he acted like he had no patience for dealing with a "non-paying" patient, despite the bill being guaranteed by the non-profit organization. Kept questioning why I did not have insurance; seemed more concerned with my employment history rather than the fact that I was down to one good contact left. The doctor sped through the eye exam like he had somewhere else to be, only pausing occasionally to continue an ongoing lecture about my need to dispose of my current contacts and to berate me for keeping my current ones in for longer than their intended use. (Like most other people, for financial reasons, I will use a 1-month contact for 3 or 4 months). The doctor asked if I wanted to be fitted for contacts, I told him that was the primary reason for the referral. The doctor stated that I would have to pay $73 just for the contact fitting (plus $72 for a 6-month supply of contacts). I told him that I could not afford that right now and asked him if I could get the contact prescription without the fitting... no, of course not. I think this is the type of doctor who does "charitable work" just so he doesn't feel left out when the other doctors talk about the volunteer work that they do. He really seemed oblivious to the fact that there is a major recession affecting NORMAL people who would otherwise be in the workforce, but are struggling financially through little fault of their own. I left his office with only a prescription for glasses.... not trial contacts, not used glasses, nothing helpful. I wasted my whole morning and can still only see out of one eye.

It's a typical professional deal. There wasn't anything to make it stand out and the service was good. I didn't have any treatment. I would use him in the future too.

He has been a great doctor. He is very caring and knowledgeable. He has taken care of my husbands and my eyes and knows enough to refer us to a specialist if there is a problem that he thinks he cannot handle. I believe he is a remarkable doctor. The only problem is that you tend to wait in the office.
