Great local business. AC went out. I spoke to Jamie on the phone. He was very helpful with scheduling. Nick came out right on schedule. Nick is very knowledgeable and professional. He solved the problem quickly, and thoroughly checked for any other possible issues.

We had an issue with our AC System wherein the company we normally use provided us a cost estimate of $320.00 to install a $29.00 part. We remembered that when we first moved to Sun City Center, we had two occasions where we used Jamie’s Air Conditioning Co. for two related AC System upgrades. So, I called Jamie’s, explained what we wanted and asked what the charge would be for parts, labor, and travel and much to our surprise the amount came to $175.00 – a difference of $145.00. Today, Mr. Nicolas Tucker of Jamie’s Air Conditioning Co. came to our house to install the part but before doing the requested work Mr. Tucker ran a couple of system checks to make sure the area he was going to work on in our unit was running as per the specifications of the manufacturer. Mr. Tucker then did the requested work in a quick and very professional manner. Besides coming earlier than scheduled (he called first to see if it was okay to come earlier) I engaged him in a conversation concerning our AC System to which he provided specific and information that was greatly appreciated. Mr. Tucker not only conducted himself in a professional manner but had an excellent “people connectivity” skills. The bottom line is if you live in the Ruskin/Sun City Center area of Hillsborough County based on our three experiences with the employees of Jamie’s AC Company of Brandon Florida and the cost of their services you cannot do any better – highly recommended company to do business with.

I would give them "A"s across the board. I would definitely use them again.

Great. A polite and knowledgeable man showed up within an hour, and had the AC working again in about a 1/2 hour.

My air conditioning died and called another company first for service. The first company said that the unit was old and needing replaced as well as all the ducts in the house. $18K in total. Since we couldn't afford that for sure, got a quote of around $9500 for just replacing the 11 year old 4 ton unit with a new 4 ton 16 SEER dual stage air conditioner. Since it was hot, we almost just decided to do it. Got part of the way to the price with financing and then would between cash and in-house financing we would be able to do it. Even though it was getting really hot in the house, we decided to get a few more bids before deciding. This was absolutely the right decision. Got another quote for a similar unit for around $7500 and then we remembered everyone in the neighborhood we asked talking about using Jamie's air conditioning. Called Jamie and he came out that afternoon. First he explained that while the dual stage would probably be more efficient on the monthly electric bill, it is a more complicated system and can have more problems than a single stage unit. Second, the house really needed a 5 ton unit for the square feet. He explained that a 4 ton would work but it was probably just a legacy thing from when the house was built going with a cheaper unit. Next, we asked about the ducts, and he asked, is there something wrong with your ducts like holes or lots of junk coming out of the vents? When we answered no, he said then you don't need new ducts. So lastly, the price was just $5400 for a 5 ton single stage unit and they could install on Monday 23 May 16. So we worked with Jamie's office (who is actually his daughter) to get financed through their financing. One tip for financing, wait until you decide who you want to go with before trying to finance. Having a few "new accounts" probably hurt getting financed, but Jamie's daughter worked really hard and got us financed at a great rate. So we were scheduled for them to arrive on Monday between 8:30 am - 9 am. Even though Jamie was great up to this point, I was planning (moving cars, etc) for him to get there at 8:30 but expecting 9am. At 8:30 am he was pulling into the driveway. As with many in the area, our inside unit was in the attic and the old and new unit would have to be taken at least partially apart to get through the attic access. I was expecting it to be getting to the end of the day before this was finished. Jamie, his son, and a new employee were all there was and they were done by lunch. No more than 30 minutes later, my house was back to normal and actually felt a little chilly seeing we have been living in a mid to high 80's in the house for a week. He left all the information I needed, contract, permit, etc and said the county inspector would be out tomorrow to do his part. The inspector came and found water in pan and said whatever is causing that needs to be fixed before he could sign off. Jamie was quickly there, fixed the problem, and now just awaiting the inspector to return to finish. Jamie's will be my A/C guy from now until I move or he goes out of business. He is a small business with little overhead and no advertising budget. I am doing his advertising now by writing this review here and anywhere else. He knows what he is doing and I love that his daughter was running the office and his son was working right beside him. Whether you hire him or not for your job, you need to call him and get a quote from him before you decide.

Our air contitioner went out and we tried everything to try to fix it. Finally, I had to look on Angies list to find an a/c repair company. I found Jami's air conditioning co.
It turned out to be something easy to fix but Jamie also looked for the cause and found that in the attic and fixed it.
I am very glad we looked on Anie's list and found Jamie. We will use him again!!


2-29-16....Update.... A few weeks later the a/c went out again and we called Jamie's again..The air handler was shot (luckily it was cool outside so we didn't melt!). . Nick and a couple of helpers came out and put in a new one. Such nice young men and really good workers. They did a good job. I don't know much about a/c but I know whenever t breaks again we will call Jamie's!! Nice company!!

No issues with estimating process.  Price was higher than competitors but we chose him due to professional presentation - they listened to what we had to say and didn't try to push their product.  Can't remember the exact price but it was in the vicinity of $10k.
The day of the removal/installation they started early and were professional about working inside our residence, including cleaning up after themselves.  They took out the old unit and installed the new air handler, which necessitated moving some existing ducting.  They did not replace the piping between air handler and compressor - not part of their bid.  Instead they nitrogen-flushed the lines.  They had the new unit working and were out of the house by 6:00 pm.
About six months later we had our roof replaced and dust and debris from that construction clogged up the air handler drain.  Jamie's Air Conditioning came out and cleaned the pan and drain for no charge.  Thumbs up to them.
No other issues as of today: we are still cool and are satisfied with the work.

Evaluated the problem and solve it in record time. Wonderful job.

3rd time using Jamie's. They removed heat pump and re-installed it after a patio paver job. While there, I had them install a Honeywell WiFi thermostat.

They were awesome. Came out right away, had repaired within 30 minutes.

Great company, came on time. Tech was thorough, great price. In the past I had a problem with a thermostat and Jamie troubleshot it from his phone and got it working..no charge. This is why I gave him a chance and I will use him in the future if needed..thx

We were having problems with our heat pump and called Jamie's AC to take a look at it.
They were prompt to respond. Nick came out and it was determined that we really need the heat pump
replace. He was able to replace it the next day at a very fair price. They were professional and very nice.
I would certainly recommend them and any time we have AC problems I will give them a call.

Prior to purchasing our new home, we had Jamie's A/C come by to inspect the A/C system. We saw signs of mildew coming from a couple vents and wanted to see the extent of it. The young man who was sent over looked at everything thoroughly and discovered the causes of the mildew. in the Master Bedroom, some sort of deflector was added to the vent to pass air over to the Master Closet. Removing the deflector solved that issue. Another vent was not well seated to the ceiling and the air temperature mixture between the A/C and hot attic air was the cause there. The vent was removed and some insulation attached to it, and that resolved that issue. The Duct Sanitation was well priced and my wife, sensitive to allergens, hasn't had any respiratory issues.
These were stand-up guys. They assured us that the A/C system was "Spotless" and working great!
I felt at ease with my new home purchase and happy to have an A/C company in my back pocket that I feel is trustworthy and won't try to sell unnecessary services or parts.
