You had a Karastan carpet installed in your home about 3 years ago and you did not feel it was performing well. We had it inspected and we replaced your carpet. The carpet arrived and was installed as scheduled - no issue. Happy with the results so we ordered bedroom tile. The tile arrived as scheduled and was installed as scheduled. The 2 installers worked all day. However they did not clean the floor properly after installation and there is a haze over many tiles which I have not been able to clean off. The quarter round installers did not arrive as a scheduled and called at the end of their arrival window to say they could not come until the next day. I called them when they did not arrive the next day and they said they would be 1 1/2 hours late. When they arrived they began work but soon said they did not have enough materials and would have to come back tomorrow (Sunday). My husband said that was not an option and gave them directions to the nearest Home Depot. They returned and finished the job. So, the final result of the tile project is that my husband missed a day of work due to the installers not showing up and our new tile has a haze on it. We would never deal with this company again!

The was the second project G.Fried did for me. Manager Mike Solmonson was very helpful and knows his products. Both projects were completed on time, as promised. The installation crews were very professional, and there were no hidden charges or upselling. I will use them again in my home and office.

The sales person Judy was great. Showed me a new laminate flooring that doesn't look or feel like the typical laminate flooring. It looks more like large plank hardwood flooring. It was also less expensive than what I was originally looking at. The installation of the laminate flooring went great. I used their installers because G Fried guarantees their work. I did have them come back to put extra padding under an area where my floor wasn't even. The carpet installation did not go as smooth. The installer fought a helper who cut the carpet just slightly to short then tried to cover it up. When I confronted him about it, he tried to stretch it which caused a few small holes in the fabric. I immediately called the sales person who had me speak to the manager. With no questions asked, G Fried made the installer remove that carpet and they brought an entirely new carpet to be installed a few days later with no issues. G Fried has a great warranty on their products and workmanship. They have great customer service and quality products. I would recommend them and will use them in the future.

The salesperson I dealt with, Judy, was very patient and helped a lot. I must have gone back 5 times to get more samples as I couldn't find the exact color laminate I wanted. She was very helpful and negotiated a great price. The person who installed the laminate was absolutely meticulous and did a wonderful job. I could not have been more pleased with the installation.
The only thing that threw me off was the inflated price of the laminate when you first go in the store. The laminate pricing on the samples I like ran around $5-$5.50 per square foot..not including installation, which was $2 per square foot. I also shopped at competitors and their prices on their samples were the actual price of the laminate or the laminate price plus installation...no negotiation need.
Because I found the laminate I liked at G.Fried, I told them what the competitor pricing was and they matched the pricing, but you have to haggles like being at a car dealership. The other flooring companies just had the price of the laminate and the price of installation listed...no negotiation needed.
But, I was able to get the flooring at the price I wanted and was overall very satisfied with the quality of the product and the installation.

We purchased from G. Fried during a big sale around a holiday weekend. We never would have gone with them if not for this sale, because the "big box" retailers kicked their butts in price. But with the sale going on, Keith, our salesman, did a great job getting close to their price. And we felt G. Fried had a better, nicer looking product. Just watch for "up charges", because they did try to charge us a few "up charges" for extra items that we did not receive, but since we were home during the install, we were able to dispute the extra charges, and G. Fried worked with us. We think it was more of a miscommunication between them and their installer.
Keith, our salesman, was awesome to work with, absolutely no pressure. He even came out to measure in the evening, since their normal measurer worked during the day, and we also work during the day.
The only minor problems were the tile man liked to start late and only work part of the day, so a job that should have taken 2.5 days at most took 4 days, which meant alot of time off work for us. (These trades people should understand that their customers need to work too, or they wouldn't have any money to afford home renovations!) And he could have definitely planned his time better to shave at least one whole day off the job. But in his defense, he was a perfectionist, and the tile looks beautiful. And that is what is most important to us. And on the last day, since we were really aggravated about all the time off work, we asked him to come at 7am, and he did get here at that time.
The second issue was the carpet installers tried to hot glue down a tile to tile threshold, which we told them was not going to hold. So that meant a return trip for one of them a few days later when it was popping up to fix it. But the installer was very nice and repaired it quickly with liquid nails. They could have communicated better with us to avoid a minor hiccup with cutting the living room carpet too short and having to re-stretch it, but in the end, it looks great.
From the salesman, to the job site supervisor, to the tile man and carpet installers, the whole job went pretty good. A few minor issues are to be expected with any large job on a 20+ year old house and they handled all of our concerns very professionally and in a timely manner. We are very pleased with our new "wood look" plank porcelain tile and nice, new carpet. And we would definitely use them again.

We moved to Tampa from out of state and built a house. The builders prices for having them install hardwoods was outrageous so we decided to have them installed after we closed but prior to moving our furniture in. We worked with Keith and 100% of our conversations were by phone or email since we were out of state. This was very difficult for both parties because pictures don't do wood floors justice. We found a wood we liked in a showroom up north and asked Keith if we could get it. They didn't carry it but he said he would see what he could do. He found the wood and they were able to get it for us. The price we got was actually cheaper than the store up north as well.
Installation took almost 4 days (4 rooms for a total of about 1,300 sq ft) but fit into the time frame we gave them. The installers were very nice and did a great job. They installed, painted our half rounds and cleaned up afterwards.

We were under a time crunch, our furniture was in storage and we had a devilvery date. Alan met with us, made some suggestions and gave us a time frame for work to start.
The work started as promised, Ken, the installer, did a great job. they coordinated the tile work and some painting we were having done. Everyone cleaned up after their work. Everything was done a week before my furniture arrived.

I relocated from out of state so therefore I had no experience to base a buying decision. G Fried Flooring America was referred to me. I had three area flooring places bid the work. The rep Alan was on time for the original meeting, met with us answered all our questions, made suggestions and laid out the time schedule of when the work would start and be completed. Everything went as planned, the installer did a great job, cleaned up each day and very courteous of our home.
The price was very competitive and we love the floors. I would recommend this company highly. In addition he had referred me to other contractors for other work we needed. Nice to find a good friendly and reliable business when you first move to a new area.

G. Fried was slightly higher than another flooring company for the exact same tiles but when asked; they happily matched the price. The installation crew were knowledgeable; professional, informative and very courteous and service oriented. The Lead was Jason and we would highly recommend him and his crew and probably request them for any future work. Jason sent one of his men back a day after the last room was grouted to move furniture back that could not be moved on the last day of the job due to drying time. Another person was sent to reapply the molding removed around the kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
Our Salesman at the store was David and he was very nice, thorough and called to check on the job during and to followup with us when the job was almost complete.

I had visited several flooring stores over the last 5 years but was overwhelmed with all the choices and gave up each time. I discovered that G.Fried Flooring America in Brandon offers a decorator service. The decorator came to my house to discuss options – laminate vs wood vs tile vs carpet. I selected laminate due to “old cat” issues and the decorator recommended keeping carpet in the bedrooms. The decorator brought over several sets of samples she thought would work. The laminate samples all seemed too dark to me so she came back another day with lighter ones. With the smaller range of choices that I was able to keep for a few days and move around from room to room in the different lighting, I was able to finally able to select a laminate (and carpet for the bedrooms). Overall, our experience ranks a and quot;Band quot; average and I would use them again.
The A-rated part: The decorator; the sales/estimator, the tile demo and laminate install. The laminate installation crew was available the week we requested. They arrived on time, were a pleasure to deal with, completed the work in 4 days as scheduled and did a fantastic job.
The C-rated part: The carpet installers also did good work HOWEVER they split 8 hours of work over 2 days to do a job that was estimated at 1 day and should have been done in 1 day. The lead guy told us before he set foot in the house that he was leaving at 2pm. Then said we had too much furniture; that he was told we hardly had any furniture (very strange since the estimator had been here twice); then he called his boss to complain about the furniture; then complained more to us about the furniture saying multiple times that most crews would have turned around and left; then complained how hungry he was; then ate a whole bag of cheetos in my house (all I could think was orange fingers installing light beige carpet). The irony was that my husband and the other installer moved a lot the furniture while the lead guy was on the phone complaining to his boss about it.
Bottom line, one guy annoyed and inconvenienced us, marring an otherwise very positive experience with this vendor.

The overall experience had some highs and some lows. The real lows was that when you call G. Fried Flooring, one first has to go through a telephone tree. Once you press where you want to go (and I tried several different places), my phone call just went into some and quot;Black Holeand quot; out there in space and then was disconnected. This happened at least 10 times on different days. I was never able to talk with a real human being. I finally gave up with calling the company!!!!
The highs were really outstanding. I dealt with Eileen Hall and if she was a true professional. She helped me pick out the tiles and advised me on the pattern. She also arranged for the installation and a pair of great installers who definitely know their trade. Both Eileen and the installers arrived precisely on time.
The BBQ and Garden Bench areas with the tile look beautiful.

We visited Flooring America a couple of days ago. We were in the market for hardwood / laminate flooring for our master bedroom and walk-in closet. Our neighbors had used Flooring America a few months back, and we've seen their floor and were impressed.
When we walked into the showroom we were greeted immediately by a nice welcoming sales representative. He listened without being pushy, and discussed the options we were interested in. We picked our product and scheduled an install date for a couple of days later, and the salesman stopped by later that afternoon to confirm all of the measurements.
On the day of the service the installer arrived right on schedule. We'd already moved most of the small furniture, but the installer brought help and moved the larger stuff. The old carpet was gone within 20 minutes and he started prepping the surface. He did all of the cutting outside, and was particular to keep the inside of the house clean. When he finished, we did a walk through, and he gave me the extra material in case we need to do minor repairs in the future. He did a very careful clean up the area, and offered to help me move all of the furniture back.
My husband and I are both work in customer service, and we know good service from mediocre. This was exceptional service. When we replace the flooring in the living room and den, we'll be going back to Flooring America!

Flooring America let me take carpet samples home plus got another sample from the factory of a carpet that I was interested in.
They were on time for all appointements
