Bill has been trimming my live oaks every 2-3 years for over a decade.  He is very experienced and knowledgeable and really enjoys what he does for a living (he is a tree guy!)  He likes coming back every couple years to see how the trees are doing and how great his shaping looks. He is very responsive when called for an estimate and spends a great deal of time studying the trees and advising what should stay and what should go. The actual tree trimming has always been flawless.  He shows up with a crew of 3-5 people who work until the job is done.  They haul away all the wood and chips and clean up well. Bill uses climbers instead of a lift bucket and they carefully control the trimming to avoid damage to yard, landscape or house.

I talked to Bill the day before when they were working for my neighbor. I asked if he would review the work I wanted performed on three large oak trees in front of my house. He explained the differences in the trees; two are laurel oaks (a less sturdy variety) and one is a live oak (this is the type you want to have). He answered my questions, gave me a quick tutorial in oak trees, listened to my concerns, and pointed out things I hadn't noticed. Also, he was flexible on the price, which is very refreshing. He told me they could be there the next morning between 8:00-8:30 a.m. -- and they were! Bill was not available that day, but he had introduced me to his "climber" Bill the day before. There were three additional men to help with holding ropes to guide the falling branches, shredding of debris and clean up. They worked from 8:30 a.m. to mid-afternoon in 90-degree weather -- stopping only for short breaks. Bill checked with me to see if I was satisfied with the look of the trees and answer questions I had about cuts before leaving the clean-up to the three ground workers. The young gentleman (sorry I can't remember his name) in charge and the other two workers were polite and professional while raking the whole area of litter from the cutting. Not only did they rake the yard, but used a blower to clean the driveway. I couldn't be more pleased with the work done and this company's employees.
