Located in the heart of Brandon FL, Bergman’s European Autoworks is a high quality automobile service and repair shop. We specialise in BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, VW, Volvo, Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Acura vehicles. We are ASE certified with over 100 years of combined experience. We perform maintenance services, A/C and brake repair, and “Check Engine Light” diagnosis, as well as all general repairs.

Very professional and work was done on time. They called the day before to confirm the appointment. Staff were efficient and pleasant. I feel this garage is honest and fair in their pricing...no trying to sell extras.

"This is a little unusual, and I am not quite sure how to respond. It appears to have been 2 years since this customer claims we worked on his vehicle. That just seems like a long time to wait before posting a review. We also have nobody by this name in our customer database. Typically, if there is an issue we are made aware of, we work with the customer to understand why they are dissatisfied, then take reasonable measures to come to a solution. We currently have 27 reviews on google, 266 on intuit/demandforce, 7 on yelp, and some on bimmershops , as well as other Mercedes and BMW sites. Average of all is 4.9 stars and 98% satisfaction. We will contact Angies List to try to figure out if this is a real review, and , if so, contact the customer to see what happened."

I am very pleased with the services my Acura MDX receives at Bergman's European Auto. carl and his team take the extra care to ensure that my vehicles stay warranty compliant through their careful selection of Honda specified parts and lubricants. I especially appreciated their effort to coordinate the use of a loaner vehicle between myself and another customer, keeping booth of happy. Always well done!

I bought a used BMW 335i from some local
people that had their service done at Bergman?s. They strongly recommended
them. My car started leaking oil and so I took it into them. Clark the service
manager was very knowledgeable and checked out the entire car. Once they narrowed
down where the leaks were coming from they worked with Warrantee Company to
ensure the items were covered. Impressed with their customer service I opted to
get the valves cleaned as well since the top of the engine had to come out
anyway. They could have charged me for this and not done it and I would have
probably never know but when I dropped in on them sure enough they had the
intake off and were cleaning the intake ports as agreed. I would take my Bimmer
here long before I would ever drop it off at the Stealership. Honest people in
a business that is riddled with not so honest people.

I've been taking my auto's to Bergman's for three years now and have been pleased with the quality of work done every time.
This time I took my ten year old Honda Civic in for a 30K mile service.
I asked for and was provided with a loaner car. Carl called me a few hours later with the results of the inspection and made a few suggestions including new tires. The tires on the car were original and over ten years old. He gave me a couple options and I chose the least expensive tires.
The tires were ordered so the work was not finished until the next day but I had the loaner car so it was not a problem.
When I got the my car back the next day it rode smoother and quieter than on the old tires.
Once again I'm pleased with the experience of dealing with Bergman's.

NO feedback as to why the parts were to be changes, NO feedback as far as using factory parts. My car is an Acura with a German designed ABS/controled skid system, left the shop with the ABS out of service. They DO NOT know anything about the Honda/Acura ABS systems. Will have to take my car to a Honda dealer who actually knows how to work on these systems!

This is the third time I've used Bergmans. I take my Honda there as well. They do quality work on time in my experience. I haven't had any problems after the repairs. Cost is about on par with the dealer maybe a little less. They do offer loaner cars which is a huge plus.

They are very honest, very professional, and very dependable. If someone needed auto service, we would definitely recommend to go over there and talk to them. They actually try not just to fix something or find some problems where there are no problems. They are very honest. They tell you what has to be fixed, what may be still has time, what you should watch out for the future and not really try to fix what is not really necessary to be fixed. We would use them again in the future.

They are good. They deal with foreign cars. They didn’t charge me the last time because there was nothing they had to do. It was a setting that was running down there but I do take my car every year there and have it fully serviced. They’ve always been very good. I do take my car there to be serviced all the time. They do a good job. They’re very good. I will use them again in the future if I need to. I use them all the time.

I had always entrusted my 7 year old BMW to the dealer for maintenance having had some bad experience with independent shops in the past. Because the dealerships are so far away from where I live I decided to look for a nearby independent shop and found Bergmans on the internet. I saw that they had a positive review on Angie's list so I gave them a call. I spoke with the owner, Carl Bergman and he said I could bring the car in the next morning for an assessment. When I came in the next morning I was at first struck by the main office. It more resembled the office of a CPA than auto shop. Mr. Bergman took me on a tour of the garage and again I was impressed by the order and cleanliness of the work environment. I left the car with him and a couple of hours later he called me to let me know what they'd found. I came back by the shop and Mr Bergman took me to the garage where my car was on the lift and he showed me all of the items that needed attention. The items had been prioritized, some needing immediate maintenance while others could wait a few more thousand miles. I authorized the repairs that I wanted them to do now, he gave me a price and time estimate, neither of which I considered unreasonable. It was going to take a couple of days since some parts had to be ordered and there was a lot of work involved. I was expecting to have to rent a car while the work was being done but to my surprise Mr Bergman offered me one of their loaner cars. The dealer had always given me a loaner but I didn't expect it from an independent shop. Mr Bergman called me when the work was completed, on time and cost as estimated. I waited almost a month before submitting this report because I wanted to see if there were any problems encountered with the work. So far there have been none and I've driven the car over over 600 miles since. I am delighted with my experience with Bergmans and plan to have all future work on my BMW and Honda performed there.

Took the car in the for an alignment after having tires put on our BMW (tire place couldn't do the alignment and they recommended Bergmans). We dropped off the vehicle and were given an estimate for the alignment. By the time we got home, they called to tell us the alignment would not be correct because we needed to fix the control arms and that would be another several hundred dollars. We called our regular mechanic because we were pretty sure this was done last summer. He pulled our records and told us that he fixed both control arms and there was absolutley nothing wrong with the front end. When my husband called Bergman's back to say they had already been fixed, the mechanic agreed that they looked new and that "the control arm just wasn't as tight as they would like but he said since it was already done then we didn't need to do it again". They also said we needed a new radiator hose which was also repaired last summer. Ultimately, Bergmans did a fine job on the alignment and the price was decent. However, not sure we'll go back since we don't have a huge comfort level in their honesty because they wanted us to fix things that really weren't broken just to make several more hundred dollars off of us.

"Good day, Carl Bergman, owner of Bergman's European Autoworks. I'm sorry this customer was not totally satisfied with our work. I looked at this car after they mentioned some work had been done. The bushings indeed looked fairly new, but they were failed due to excessive play. I do not know what brand bushings were used a year ago at the other shop, but some brands currently being sold seem to have poor rubber quality, leading to this loose condition. We are somewhat particular here, and will note everything we see that is not the way it should be.The customer was comfortable with the bushings as they were, and that is fine. On the upper radiator hose, it also looked new, but was swollen, as noted on the repair order. The upper radiator hoses on 6 cyl E46 chassis BMW vehicles are a known weak point of the cooling system. We noted and estimated multiple oil leaks on this 1999 vehicle with 85000 miles. Motor oil exposure, over a period of time , can weaken and swell even a new hose. I disagree with the statement that we just wanted to make several hundred more dollars. We are a fairly busy shop, and the last thing we needed that day was some additional suspension repairs tying up our alignment machine. A pre-alignment inspection is the first step in any professional alignment. We found items that were not optimal and could affect tire wear and the quality of the alignment we were asked to perform. We brought them to the customer's attention, they were declined, and we proceeded. I agree nothing was "broken". We never presented them as broken. I personally prefer to repair or replace an item before it is broken,as I have 6 children and hate breakdowns. We are particular and detailed. Our theory; inform the customer of everything we see on his vehicle, make preventative maintenance recommendations, and help the customer decide and prioritise. If any customer would like to review any of our findings at any time, in the shop on the lift, I will be happy to do this at their convenience at no charge. Sincerely, Carl F. Bergman"
