"I apologize Mr. [Member Name Removed] We were indeed behind more than a month with all the damage from the hurricane. We have been working 6 days a week to try to catch up. However, the owner has had a stroke and that has further delayed us. Also, the owner is the one that answers the calls at the office. It took us a little bit after the stroke to have someone else answer and I'm sure some of the calls that took place during that time were unanswered. We are truly a family company and myself and the kids took it very hard. It took all of us a little bit to get back on track. Hopefully, we will be back on schedule once he is fully recovered. Sorry, you were inconvenienced. We try hard to do what we promise."
VERY,VERY BAD. Workers installed incorrectly, they were throughout our home for over eight hours .Left entry level rear window and door unlocked. Two days later thieves entered through this window and stole our electronics, jewelry,bicycle,luggage,bath toiletries and a 7ft silk ficus plant .. Owner misidentified workers present at our home and provided false information to police investigators. Owner stated the company had installed screens in other homes in our community -which turned out to be false. I am appalled and amazed that this company is still in business.
"This customer is the same one that posted a negative review in 2012. So, this is a repeat review and not for new service as the date on the review would indicate. I believe that this review is based on the fact that the homeowner was the victim of a break in after our work was complete. We were at her home for the entire day because it was a large job. Those types of jobs sometimes even take 2 days to complete. I am unsure about the status of the door and window to which they are talking about as most of our work is done outside. The break in was 2 days later and I believe it is possible that someone else in that 2 days might have left something unlocked as well. I gave the information to the police that was requested and as far as I know it was accurate. When the customer says it was inaccurate I am not sure what they mean so I don't know how to respond. I think it is unfair for them to give a negative review on what I believe is bad timing for us. The police investigated as far as I can tell and the men that worked on the job were cleared of any suspicion except by the homeowners that had already made up their mind that it was our fault. Again, I am very sorry for their loss. I too have had my home broken into in the past and I know that it is a horrible feeling."
It is very hard to find a contractor willing to both paint and rescreen a lanai. Michael from Screens Now came out and gave us a quote that included painting and rescreening that was very competitive. He contracted with the painter and made sure we were satisfied with the job he did. The painter was extremely helpful, never missed an appointment and offered good suggestions. On the day he was supposed to start it rained and he even showed up to explain he wouldn't be able to paint but would return the next day. There were a few spots that needed touching up and he was happy to do it.
The crew that did the rescreening also came out when scheduled. The quality of the work was fine, although they had to come back to hang the downspouts. The only reason I marked them down slightly on professionalism was due to the rather salty language they used as they worked, although they were young and probably didn't know I could hear them.
We had a problem with one of the doors closing, but Mike sent them back with new hinges at no additional charge even though there was no evidence the problem was the result of anything his workers had done. There is still a minor issue with paint peeling on the door, but Mike has agreed to replace the door at a very good price if we feel it is necessary. .
We are thrilled with the way the lanai looks and are very satisfied with Screens Now. We would definitely recommend them.
