Nothing went well.  Stan has the ability to do good work but his helper is terrible.  Stan cuts straight lines at the ceiling and corners but his helper's work caused more damage than help.  The biggest issue was the prep work.  There were lots of imperfections which Stan assured me could be patched sanded and re-textured.  I inspected the house after he prepped and was assured he was not done and that everything would be perfect.  After the next day, I took another look and found that a few repairs has been made but there were significant issues with significant cracking, unsanded patches, un-textured patches and lots of repairs that were completely ignored.  When I informed Stan, he told me he was going to quit painting but that he would make sure everything was perfect.  The next morning, he packed his things and walked off the job, without notice.  
I am not sure if Stan really quit or not however, i would not recommend him for meticulous jobs.  He did decent work but I was very specific about wanting all  wall damage to be repaired.  If you just need some basic help around the house, Stan is your man, if he has not quit painting altogether.
