GULF AUTO CLINIC

I found them on the AAA site. I wanted a mechanic that AAA recommended. They are also NAPA and ASE certified. This means a lot to me. I have used them before and recommend them. They are knowledgeable, personable and give AAA discounts. This time, they did the repairs in the time they promised, inspected the car per my request, sent me a report with pictures of what they found, showed me the parts when I went to pay, gave me a ride and remembered I got an AAA discount, which I had not remembered.

I own a 1999 Toyota Tacoma xcab truck which we bought brand new from a Toyota dealer. This truck I have babied all of it's 15 years. Having been in the auto service business both private and at dealer levels, as manager and technician and now retired, when the radiator cracked and needed replaced, I had no idea who to take it to that I could trust. The cost for this repair at the local Toyota dealer was cost prohibitive. I signed up for Angies list for help. Gulf Auto had a spotless reputation, A ratings across the board. Decided to give them a shot. Best move I could have made! When I pulled into the shop drive, I noticed how the shop was laid out and organized. It was clean, efficient and Terry, the Service Manager came right up to us and introduced himself. He is a very affable professional person, liked him very much. Their lounge had all the certifications for their techs posted, all seemed extremely qualified. I noticed they all wore the same uniforms, and those I met all said good morning. Truck got right in. Pat, the owner, took me down after a bit to show me the issues. I knew the radiator needed replacing, but they noticed the squeaking from the driveshaft and showed me the seized up front universal joint. Having worked fixing cars for over 30 yrs, I can not be BS'd. The truck needed these repairs. Pat worked up my estimate which included replacing the radiator with a Lifetime Warranty, replacing the universal joint, and performing the oil and filter service. The estimate was for $605 and change. I ok'd it. Hundreds less than the dealer. The estimate included all fluids, coolant, shop supplies and taxes. This was about 10 am on a Friday. They drove my wife and I home. Got a call about 4 pm the truck was ready. They PICKED US UP and took us back to the shop. I paid the bill, talked with them for a while, went and got into the truck to leave, and could not believe they had also washed the exterior and detailed the interior!! I was flabbergasted!! I pulled up to the office, told Pat what a wonderful service experience this had been and thanked them for cleaning the veh. If it was possible to give them AAA ratings I would. Anyone who takes their vehicle anywhere else is making a mistake. This shop is the BEST. If anyone needs help, call them, stop by, whatever. Give them the opportunity to take care of their vehicle like they did mine, and believe me, I am a very particular and knowledgeable person when it comes to vehicles and customer service.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone. By the way, the final bill came in just as estimated. No surprises. Thanks, Pat and Terry...

After being lied to by Topical Cadillac and told they were not responsible for anything, I took it to Gulf even though it was still under warranty. Pat understood all the problems and repaired them cost effectively, All around excellent.

I am new to the area and they were great when I called them saying that my AC was not working properly. They were able to get me in the next morning and we able to diagnosis the trouble and fixed it right away. AC not working in Florida is NOT a good thing.

This morning our car died in the parking lot at one of the medical buildings. We had the starter replaced last week by the Gulf Auto Clinic last week. This time it was the battery. We made the call to Pat Roberts who is the owner. We explained to him what had happened. He immediately sent two guys over to take a look at our car. The guys were Terry Abbas, the Service Manager, and Lorin, the auto mechanic. They were able to get the car started and drove it to the shop while we were driven in their shuttle car. Terry is truly a professional who was patient with us despite our deafness, in explaining why the battery had died . He was awesome! Lorin did a very good job with our car. Pat and his team of professionals have done an exceptional work on my car in over two years we had with them. We take great comfort in knowing that we can trust Pat for his honesty in the diagnosis and prices. We will always be his lifetime customers!!!

I was very surprised to find a knowledgeable muscle car mechanic. Pat and his crew were clear up electrical problems that I have been having since I purchased the car two years ago. I was very happy with price and what I got accomplished during the week I spent Florida. I have other work in the Fall of 2014, that I plan to have done to my 70 GTO in the fall of this year at Gulf Auto Clinic.

After coordinating part source, we agreed to have the work done and setup an appointment. Upon arrival for the appointment the vehicle was immediately pulled into a bay the work was completed in very little time.

On time service for scheduled appointment. Work completed in time frame stated. Wonderful folks to do business with. I have already referred 3 others and they too raved about their whole experience.

I had JUST moved to Florida and my a/c on my 2003 Camry stopped working. I called in a panic about 4 in the afternoon and got an appointment for 8AM the next day - and by 9:30 I was on my way in a nice cool car! I know nothing about auto repairs, and they could have told me anything, but all it was was a relay, not a major repair.

Immediate response. Called and found the part, told us when to return and repaired the mirror within two hours.

,I called for an appointment and got one the next morning. When I arrived I discussed the problems with Nikki and they got right to it. They kept me informed at to the problems and solutions as the day went on, getting my OK for the work they were doing. Another mechanic had worked on the car previously, and had installed the wrong type of brake shoe in the vehicle, causing a lot of brake noise and grinding. They discovered the problem right away and fixed it. The air conditiioner had a leaky hose, which they also repaired . Long story short, they did a great job and I will definitely go back again!

They were incredibly professional and nice and did an outstanding job repairing a vehicle that had been neglected for too long. It runs like new. I was given a firm quote before work was done and a guarantee on work they did.

Pat the mechanic checked out the car ( had oil leak) and gave us estimate for repairs. Not only he checked the leak, he test drove our car to make sure there was no other problems. We used his "ears" to listen for any noise that we could not hear while driving it. We have been going to him for all our repairs. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Highly recommended for his quality work while his prices are very reasonable.

People friendly over phone. I was tired due to no sleep, receptionist made me coffee.Mechanic explained issue with me & showed me the old part explaining me function of part etc. Replaced part said they overall pond of car. Gave a few words of advice about need we front tires & possibility of steering fluid flush needed. Owner called me and 1 week later thanking me for my business!

Provider kept us well informed on the progress, showed us the worn, damaged parts afterwards, completed work on time as promised. When our car was returned they had cleaned the exterior and interior, We were very pleased with the quality of their work and professionalism.

I took my 2000 Buick in for a yearly maintenance checkup. They found nothing wrong and did an oil change for me. They could have told me anything and I wouldn't't have known the difference. As a woman, I appreciate the honesty.

My service engine soon light illuminated so I made an appointment with Gulf Auto Clinic. They did a test and found the cause to be a faulty sensor. They replaced the mass air flow sensor.

This company is unique in that they treat you like family but are very thorough and business-like. You always feel they are not taking advantage of you, which is most important to a woman.

The transmission flush was relatively more expensive than most of its competitors, which is the reason I will not go back to get a transmission flush from them. I asked for a quote on how much it would cost, but they were persistent that I "come in" first to get it checked out. However I feel that they did a good job, informing me along the way what process they were on. I did not like the fact that they would not give quotes over the phone though.

Hands down some of the best customer service I have ever received at any business, not just auto service. After reading the reviews here, I stopped by and Pat (the owner) discussed what needed to be done and got the new computer (which I provided) installed and programmed on the spot. I talked to him about the u-joints and decided to have them do that too. They were too busy to do that immediately, so he arranged to get me a ride home. I was out of town when the repair was completed, so Pat actually gave me the option to take my payment details over the phone and drop off the truck at my house! His rates were very fair, but friendliness and flexibility of Pat and all of his staff is what will make them my new go-to mechanic.

They fixed only what I told them to fix but their second diagnostic I was surprised that I was charged separately for it. They did not say that upfront.

Waiting room was adequate with coffee. Service was excellent.

Another provider (not on your list, but recommended by a relative) could not fix severe "shuddering" when I was driving 70 MPH, although they said they had three separate times. After spending about $1000, I took the car to Gulf for a "second opinion." They showed me what was causing the problem and fixed it. They also helped me with out of balance tires sold to me by the original provider. It was a very bad and costly situation and they helped me work through it all. I will now use them exclusively and recommend them highly.

I take my cars to Gulf Auto for all our repair work. Over the last three years I have used them at least ten times and their repairs have always been well done and done in a timely manner. The best I can say is that I trust my wife and kid's safety to them and I have never felt that they have tried to take advantage in any way. I have and will continue to recommend them.

The staff and mechanics at Gulf Auto Clinic were friendly, professional, prompt, and honest. They showed the problems with my car (2007 Scion TC with 165,000 miles), and I trusted that they were telling me the truth. I feel I was given a fair price for the work done, although I did not buy tires through them because it would have been $700 more, and I'm hoping I can find them elsewhere less expensively. It was going to take a day to complete the repairs, so they drove me to my house and picked me up the next day when the repairs were finished (thanks, Holly!). The most pleasant surprise was when I picked up my car. They had cleaned it--inside and out!--and even found an iPod Touch that my son had lost over a year ago. They left a notepad on the front seat with "Thanks" written on it. Well, I want to say "thanks" to them for their above-and-beyond professionalism and care. I will definitely be back (hopefully only for oil changes for a while, though!), and I will recommend them to all of my friends.
