Gulf Auto Clinic is the best most trustworthy place I have ever had my car worked on. The people are friendly and kind. They do great work and at a good price. When I picked up my car they had even polished and completely restored my headlight covers like new on a 12 year old car, and didn't charge for it. Terry just said it looked like it needed to be done. Gulf Auto Clinic will be my car place forever and I recommend them to everyone I know.

I have taken an Infiniti and a Ford pick-up to this shop. The quickly diagnosed the problem, took pictures to show me and explained so I can understand. The work was completed faster than expected and was done right the first time. I was pleasantly surprised at what I was charged for the repairs. They charged less than half of what the dealer wanted. The staff are very professional and friendly.

They checked my Infinity JX 35 , and as we suspected the fan that cools A/C unit and motor was going out. I’m here on vacation, what a pain. The price they quoted me was fair (almost $800) They even ordered a part from a more cost effective vender. I paid my $100 deposit for the parts order as required. Then, THEN I found out my extended warranty to would cover the entire cost of the repair but only at an Infinity dealership. I explained to Gulf Auto what happened with the warranty. Wait for it.... they said no problem, we understand and even gave me a refund on my deposit!!!!!! What fantastic service! They were obviously very honest and fair and can’t do enough about their professionalism and kindness. As a woman from out of town this could have been an opportunity to be taken advantage of. Requested work was done well and they detected an issue with RR brake caliper, and resolved it. also showed me that my tires were starting to dry rot, even though they still had good tread (yeah, they were old). Since it was going to be a little longer than expected, they provided a loaner car so I could finish errands.

I drove it slowly to the shop, which when I arrived and they saw the damage to Cable and Latch informed me of the dangers of driving the car without the large heavy hood being secured. They drove me back home and secured a new cable and hood for my 2001 vehicle. I was picked up when work completed. Assesing the problem and how to fix it took some skilled assessment on a 2001 vehicle. Gulf Auto only employs MASTER MECHANICS that seek continuing education in all aspects of Auto Repair continually as evidenced by their credentials on the walls and the Awards they have received. They employ the latest in diagnostics and repair technology. Integrity and Safety of the Consumer are their hallmarks. I wish I had acess to the Gulf Auto "Family" I feel part of in my NY home.

I would say that they were the best Auto shop we have ever gone to, clean restroom, free beverages and a courtesy car to get you home or to work.

Service Manager Terry scheduled my RAV, they did the service I requested and repaired the items they found, and had it completed on time. The I like them so much I took my wife's Lexus to them, so now they are servicing all our motor vehicles. They even squeezed our Lexus in the day before a trip so we could feel confident about the car on our drive. It's the little things that they do that says they really know what CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about. They always return our vehicles much cleaner that they receive them, which shows that this is a business that cares about you and the business you bring to them. I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone that is looking for an honest and competent repair shop.

The service from this shop is magnificent! They did everything I wanted, and even caught a fluid drip I had forgotten to mention. First off, they are very easy to work with and listen attentively to what you need done. Next, I got a phone call from Terry, the service manager, explaining what they found and asking for permission to proceed. I also received an eMail with an inspection report attached, listing all the points they checked, clearly arranged into categories of "Good", "Needs Future Attention" and "Needs Immediate Attention". Where they saw problems, there is a photo so you can SEE what they see. Amazing! All the work was done within the time frame I was told, and when I came to pick up my vehicle, Terry showed me the removed parts so I could see what was actually repaired. And, on top of that, they cleaned up my vehicle! I did Mainframe Computer service for over 35 years, so I know what good service should be like, and THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. This was my second visit to this shop and I am sold, I will be back!

I could not have asked for a better experience! I have had ongoing brake issues with my car because they were not properly repaired by another mechanic - in spite of repeated attempts. I found Gulf Auto Clinic on Angie's List and they not only were able to diagnose the problem, but went through the trouble of making phone calls to the shop that did the previous work so that I could get parts replaced under warranty. The front and back brakes were repaired/replaced at half of what I expected to pay. I appreciate their thoroughness and honesty. As a female with little automotive knowledge, I could be easily taken advantage of, but they take the time to explain everything and show me what work needs to be done and why. I never have trouble getting an appointment, and the work is done in a timely manner. Customer service is outstanding. I am so relieved to have found a mechanic I can trust.. I will never take my car any place else.

the car was leaking oil....they took me in right a way and located the problem immediately.....they pointed out other problems but did not push to fix them...im definitely going back.

Terry and his team were fantastic. Provided same service at over $500 less than dealer. Shuttle service worked great and was super convenient.

Customer service is exceptional. I showed up early and they typically schedule appointments for service but my oil light was on in my Ford Fusion Hybrid and I was worried that I needed faster attention. David quickly came out to my car and checked the levels of oil and noted that I was near bone dry so he filled me up so that I could go to my morning and afternoon meetings safely but made an appointment to return in the late afternoon. I called because I finished sooner and they got me in an hour earlier than previously planned to make things convenient for me. They got my car in and out fast and were super friendly. I learned that they can do work on any vehicle so we plan to bring my husbands diesel truck in as well. Since we moved to Ellenton from Tampa, we plan on using Gulf Auto Clinic for all of our car care needs. They are fantastic. Highly recommend.

I wish I could give an A+, as this was one of the best experiences I have had with a car repair provider. My car has over 250,000 miles on it and I have gone to another mechanic for years that was closer to my house. Although I have some knowledge about car repair, I am by no means an expert and have to trust what the service provider tells me. I had a few hiccups with my previous mechanic and never really had a good feeling when dealing with them. This was not the case with Gulf Auto Clinic. Although I brought my car to them for a radiator and brakes, they ran a full diagnostic on my car and emailed it to me with pictures. I discussed the results with Terry, but was not pressured into additional repairs. I was driven back to work by the Owner and had time to discuss his philosophy regarding training and continuing education of all of his technicians, which was very impressive. When the repairs were done, they picked me up from work and drove me back to the shop. I wish I had known about them sooner and will definitely return in the future as well as recommend them to my friends.

I got them off of Angie's List. They are the best mechanic shop in the area. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I go there for all of my repairs.

We've entrusted our vehicles to Pat Roberts and his team at Gulf Auto Clinic for the past four or so years. Gulf Auto has never disappointed. Our most recent experience involved our 2003 Mustang convertible. The convertible top would not operate. Pat correctly diagnosed the problem and found parts to repair the mechanism, even though Ford no longer makes the replacement parts and Pat had to look for used or rebuilt parts. Within 48 hours of our bringing the vehicle to Pat, he and his team had repaired the covertible top mechanism. Pat came through for us again. We would not hesitate to take our cars to Pat and Gulf Auto for repairs/maintenance and wholeheartedly recommend Gulf Auto to anyone in the Bradenton area who is looking for an honest, reliable, and effective place to take their vehicles.

I brought my 2001 Crown Victoria, mileage 62,927 in for an inspection on friday afternoon before a 6 hour tip to the East coast of Florida with my 90 year old Mom on the following tuesday. The car had been driving differently on turns and with more noise than previously. I was fit in prompyly and a thorough assessment was done. Pictures were taken of the worn out parts and remedy and cost estimate explained . I have come to trust the staff completely at Gulf Auto knowing safety is number one priority. They started work on the car that friday, late afternoon on the the major repair and ordering parts. They worked part of friday evening and all day saturday. I would have no car to use and I had forgotten to pick up my Mom's walker at the airport after we had gotten off the plane .I was overwhelmed with Mom in the wheel chair and luggage. I was offered their mini.van to use while my car was being worked on. I was so relieved to be able to drive to the airport and get Mom's walker that afternoon. After all the work was completed before our big trip, they brought me to see all the worn out, rusted,parts they had removed from the car. I was astounded to see what terrible shape they were in. They showed me the radiator fluid that looked like mud. I drove from there knowing all was taken care of, we would be safe and the car ready for a long trip. I am treated at Gulf Auto like I am Family. I have every confidence in their expertise. They are also a NAPA Care Car Center as well as an excellent Garage. I learned about them from my neighbors and from Angies List several years ago. I only wish I had them available up North as well.

So my dad who died had this 1996 Nissan Maxima SLE and by 2014 it only had 41,000 miles. The only thing that ever had been replaced was in fact the drive belts in 2006. Most other replacements were under warranty maintenance, but none major. FYI the 1996 Nissan Maxima was a car built in Japan and was very well built. However like any car - they all need maintenance and this car is no exception. What I noticed about GULF AUTO CLINIC on Angie's List is that almost everyone is very satisfied with their service. I was toying with the idea of going to Firkin's Nissan in Bradenton as I had taken several cars there in the past but their costs are over the top (IMHO). So I made an appointment with Gulf Auto Clinic to have my Nissan car examined for potential problems. So I get there and meet one of their mechanics that is a certified Nissan mechanic. He was eager to analyse my car. He found a number of problems that had been neglected over the years. [BY THE WAY IF YOU DROP YOUR CAR OFF THEY WILL EMAIL YOU PHOTOS OF THE PROBLEM AREAS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED - WHO ELSE DOES THAT? !!!!] The front brake pads were down to 1 millimeter in thickness and the rotors were very pitted (see photos in this review). The drive belts were cracking and had little life left to them. The 2006 tires were showing lots of dry rot and need to be replaced. The drive axle boots were broken and the drive joints were compromised. They definitely needed to be replaced. All the cooling system hoses were original hoses (1996) and were very worn and had little life left. There were other smaller issues that were also addressed: air filter, brake fluids, broken window wiper fluid system etc. I also had replacement of oil and filter. Finally the new tires were filled with nitrogen. All this was done in 2 days. The job was done well, thanks to the certified Nissan mechanic. And to top things off the owner of Gulf Auto Clinic, Pat Roberts, dropped me off at my house and picked me up when the car was done - as I did not have a ride to pick up my car. I have lived in Bradenton most of my life. I have owned several cars and done business with car dealers and mechanics over the years. I can say without reservation that Gulf Auto Clinic is a gem in the rough. I don't recall ever getting better auto mechanical service from anyone else. Like many of the other reviewers have indicated the staff at Gulf Auto Clinic in Bradenton make you feel like family. They are very eager to make you happy with your decision with hopes that you will come back. I will.
