“ENVIROTECH: WORST ROOFING COMPANY IN THE WORLD: ATTENTION: THIS IS NO EXXAGGARION! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!! / LEFT ME WITH NO ROOF DURING HURRICANE, WATERSPOTS ON CEILING EVERYWHERE IN HOUSE, BROKE GATE, FLAT TIRES FROM ROOFING NAILS, DAMAGED DRIVEWAY, AND A NASTY BULLYING ATTITUDE THROUGH THE WHOLE THING: I MEAN THEY ARE MEAN AS A JUNKYARD DOG!” Where do I start! Job was planned for months to start on certain date: They never showed up / never called/ yet that had my money. We had made plans to live somewhere else while they hammered away. So since they showed up a week late finally, we ended up being there during the job. There was constant arguing on the scene between workers and super. They proceeded to take the old roof off and threw it all over the ground, pool, shrubs etc. and worst on the brand new paver driveway (knowing it had just been replaced) without tarping and protecting the driveway. They broke the driveway gate. They left roofing nails everywhere which led to flat tires. They never showed up on a Thursday (knowing they had taken the roof off but didn’t put the new one on and a CAT 5 hurricane was projected to hit Sunday). So I emailed them: No apology or anything: Just this: “we are remobilizing as we speak with projects and crews”! I called the girl there and she had nothing to say and had a terrible attitude. So here I am with no roof on a house I have owned for 20 years and a CAT 5 hurricane coming. They left in the middle of the job which they should have had completed a week earlier with a hurricane coming. Even with that there were several days when they could have finished it but either barely worked or didn’t work at all. Luckily we did not get a direct hit so they came back after the hurricane and put the roof on. There were dozens of water spots on the ceiling from the all of the water damage. They refused to come in and look at and said they had done the inspections already “multiple” times which wasn’t true (one guy came in, walked into the entry way by the front door, looked up at the ceiling, and walked out: Literally! He said he fell through the roof on a recent Envirotech job and badly hurt his back and can’t really walk around much so that was all he could do!) : They finally agreed to come in and look at the ceiling. They quickly concluded that none of the damage was their issue because the contract does not cover the “inside” of the house. (That is one thing they do with every email: tell you that you need to refer to their contract. So buyer BEWARE BIGTIME!) So I get their final bill and they fluffed up with additional costs that were not accurate and were also not agreed to. So, I had damage inside the house, damaged driveway, broken gate and a flat tire. On top of that I am being overcharged for the job. Finally on a 0-10 in customer service they are a negative 1,000. They are just so nasty it’s actually amazing. I have never seen anything like it. They truly don’t give a you know what.. Well I still owed them a final payment (the last 1/3rd plus their new charges) and tried to work something out with them. However they don’t care. They will call you every day demanding payment. In fact, they demanded final payment before they job was done which actually goes against their contract. I mean the list goes on and on. Now, here is the rub: They got you! Nothing you can do about it. I hired a lawyer to send them a letter. Their communication back to us and their lawyer’s communication were extremely slow if existent at all. They then filed a lien on my house and shortly after that sued me which opened up the possibility of my house being auctioned off as a foreclosure! Now that made me lose more sleep at night of course! Can it get worse? YEP! Now they wanted more money: Lien fees, lawyer fees, their analysis fees to what this is costing them, etc.. They didn’t pay their supplier so now their supplier is calling me ready to file a suit of their own. Bottom line, after all of that, I had to pay them what they wanted, my attorney and everything else. I still have the brown spots all over the ceiling. I am still finding roofing nails and old roof pieces everywhere. I had to pay to fix the gate and my tire and the driveway. Well I guess that is just part of life. So all I can do now is just warn the next person. My recommendation is NEVER EVER EVER HIRE ENVIROTECH to do your roof, no matter how low their bid.

Greg came out and provided a comprehensive review of the roof and shared he wish he could do a repair, but the amount of damage exceeded 20% of the roof.  We knew the roof was on its way out, so this wasn't news to us. We knew it was time.
He walked us through the material he used and offered us his opinion on copper vs galvalume.  He went on to share the importance of the screws that are used to attach the tile and the option to use a foam installation.  We felt very confident in his ability to educate us with the process, which made the decision to go with him an easy one.
He made sure we had all the proper permitting and that our home exterior was cleaned of any roofing material.  
I would highly recommend him to anyone in Sarasota, Bradenton or Palmetto area.  Greg was fantastic from start to finish strong roofer.  We are now looking to reroof another property in Lakewood Ranch and will be using Enviro-Tech to perform the work.

I had a leak in my roof that was hard to find. I had another company which tried to fix it but failed and kept the money paid claiming it was anew leak Envirotech came out and located the leak and had it fixed in four days from the time I called in. The service person they sent out was polite and professional unlike the other roofers I have used in the past. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an honest roofing company. They also provided a warranty so if it does leak in that area again they said I am covered.

Quoted $640 to repair the leak. I thought it was ok and referred my neighbor to them. Two men arrived and worked 16 man hours on my neighbors roof. With his quote for $1240, this worked out to $77.50 per hour on my neighbors job.    

One man walked across the street and worked 2 man hours on my roof. With my quote of $640, this was $320 per hour on my job.Cost of materials was negligible.

I thought this was an error in computing my quote and tried to work it out with Enviro-Tech.  The office Manager offered a $150 discount due to their savings in Transportation bringing my bill to $490..  This was still $$245 per hour. I continued to try to work it out with the Owner Mr. Gregory Leffert.

He said he disagreed with the $150 discount already given.  I filed a complaint with the BBB and did not get it resolved.  I then requested the BBB Binding Arbritration to which Mr. Leffert agreed. After his initial agreement Mr. Leffert amended his agreement to require me to repay the $150 discount already given. I agreed with this change as it would be up to the Arbitrator to determine.

Mr. Leffert then refused to proceed with the Arbritration.    This entire complaint,  including my attempts to resolve it  are all documented and available for review on the BBB website.

So, a lesson to be learned.  Do not chance getting fair and ethical treatment from Mr. Gregory Leffert and Enviro-Tech Roofing.

I wish I would have joined and reviewed the Angie's List recommendations before hiring Enviro-Tech.
