Pool construction went smoothly. No major problems or delays. We gave them a deadline and they hit it so we were grateful for that. HOWEVER, I'm 99% sure they completely forgot to schedule their subcontractor to install our screen as this went unaddressed for over a month. Only until I hounded them was anything done about it.
The salesman, Josh, was very patient and knowledgeable. He helped us design the pool and was accessible every day of the week via text/email. Didn't quite get the negotiation I was hoping for but its a business, and their quote was lower than the others.
The owner was flexible for the most part. He allowed some tweaks in the plan after the papers were signed, but he also surprise-charged us for an "upgraded pebbletek" which added $600 to the bill - was not amused by this. I agreed to pay if he installed two 3rd party pieces of equipment that I was able to purchase at wholesale from a friend. No harm no foul. But then we encountered a crappy tile job on our spa spillway and he gave me **** for wanting it fixed. Had a massive attitude about it. Dude, I'm paying you a %^&* ton of money build me a pool. Lose the tone and treat me with a little more respect... A good friend of mine manages a pool company in another region and I sent him a picture. His exact words were "That is hideous. We would never accept that from our trade partners. Take a hammer to it and MAKE them fix it". (Disclaimer: I did not sabotage my pool construction lol). We basically just let it go even though it bothers me every day.
The front office is pretty responsible. I rarely got calls back when I asked for them, but they relayed all my requests to the right places in a timely manner.
The project manager is great. Louie. He does the Pool School and checks that everything is right with your pool. A+ experience there.
Bottom line, I love my pool and the way it turned out. They deserve a good rating, even if the owner has a stick up his...
