A1 Blinds and Shutters

From the first phone call I felt an old fashioned politeness and interest when I spoke to Gary who scheduled an appointment for Mel to measure up and then return a couple of weeks later to fit the new blinds

Called and scheduled a measure appointment.  Measurements & color selection were done on a Saturday afternoon,  within a couple of days of my first phone call. Blinds were received and installed in less than 14 business days. Prompt, courteous, and professional service beginning to end!

Pleasant, easy to deal with. On time, quick and punctual.

He came on time, was friendly and efficient, completed the work, gave us some tips for maintenance and cleaning, and invoiced us for exactly the estimate. Included was a replacement of a one year old blind at cost that renters had trashed.

We went to the shop on a Mon, got measured on Tues and installed the following Wed. Great product, great company to work with, price is very reasonable.

They're a wonderful company. They did it within the time frame. They were very polite, professional and punctual. They're great. I would definitely use them again. They provided really excellent service. It was a professional installation. They came out to your house with catalogs so you don't have to go anywhere to view what kind of blinds you want.

They have many styles and textures to choose from. Because of the colors in the room I was limited to certain colors but wanted to keep it clean.
I chose a white textured slat. 25 slats for under $30.00. I have used this company twice before for 2 other jobs and have spent over $1300.00 working with this company over the years including them installing verticals on a slider and pretty indoor shutters on my windows.
The shop isn't pretty or glitzy. It is a working shop where they take orders and cut and design their verticals.
They are great to work with- are local in Bradenton. Mel is great to work with and will do his best to accommodate your choices/options.

This company had previously installed a vertical blind on a slider for us and we were very happy with that installation. When we decided we wanted an alternative look to blinds/drapes/curtains we thought of indoor shutters and wanted to go local (after checking out a big box store and finding that the shutters were made overseas and price did not include installation), we called two local blind/shutter companies.Both companies gave professional presentations. Although the company we did not choose had a larger color variety, they also came in almost $600 over A-1 Blinds. A-1's representative, Mel, came out and took the measurements explaining the look to me and also brought out the samples and showed me how the look would be achieved and what the crown molding would look like around the shutters. He explained the shutters were made in St. Petersburg (about 30 miles north of us) and showed me how the shutters were made and what materials were used. We chose to go with white shutters as it would be easier to paint the walls than to try to change the color of the shutters. The lead time on this job was given as 7 to 10 days (ordered on a Thursday). Nine days later the installation was complete ( approximately 2 hours) and the look is fabulous. Gary and Mel did a great job and I recommend A-1 Blinds. They are a small local Bradenton treasure and their professionalism and customer service are excellent.We will be hiring them again to finish the look in the rest of our condo
