Paul Ewing was very responsive and professional from the first contact.  I called several locksmiths close to me listed in Angie's list.  Paul gave me a free estimate and offered a 10% military or senior discount.  His prices were the same or lower than the others I called.  He was able to do the work the next day, showed up on time, provided a wealth of knowledge about maintaining locks in the Florida humidity, and completed the work quickly and efficiently.  I will call A1 Agent Locksmith for any future locksmith needs I may have and recommend them to anyone looking for a locksmith.

We bought a new house in Bradenton and called A-1 after the closing to change the locks. Paul did a great job. Scheduled him for Friday, he did not show up at the appointed hour - called two hours later -- he was in a bad car accident. Someone ran a light and totaled his service van with him in it. He left the hospital and immediately called all of his scheduled clients -- offered to come out that evening. I rescheduled for the next day. He arrived on time (despite the island traffic going through Bradenton). He did a great job -- replaced all of the locks (some of them had been installed incorrectly by the prior owner). Keyed upper and lower locks on four doors to use the same key and made duplicate keys for us. He worked quickly, got everything done in about 45 minutes - he worked quickly and cleanly -- despite not even having his primary service vehicle (which had been crunched in the prior day's accident). Would highly recommend him.

But there were no complaints about poor workmanship so far.

They showed up right on time and did just as promised. They offered good advice.

Paul wss really professional and when the keys were hard to turn, he fixed the problem at no charge.

I just bought a new home and needed the locks re-keyed. Paul came out and did all seven locks, made us five keys, and even tightened up a couple of loose doorknobs that he found. He was fast and very professional. I would definitely use this company again and will recommend them to anyone I know who needs their services.
