"Wow, just Wow! First off your shades were purchased Feb 2017 I have done your brothers and mothers homes & receive many referrals from them.. You did have a complaint that the Hunter Douglas Pirouette shades were letting light in on the sides. A very common issue with all shades. Your sister in law actually worked for Hunter Douglas and couldn't find fault in what we installed. I am never rude, at least never intentionally. I came back to you home, showed you how the shades fit tight at the top and could not possibly have been made any fuller. I returned with a molding to put behind the shades on the sides to try and help the situation. When that wasn't sufficient for you I supplied black out cellular shades with side channels behind. I changed my cost for the shades and my labor for free. If that's what you feel is unresponsive then I can't imagine what you found rude That was the last I heard from you till almost 3 years later with this surprise. Maybe with the quarantine you have time to catch up on old issues but hurting my reputation and calling us rude is not a proper way to respond years later. We live in the same community and I do a ton of work here as you know. You are now my only dissatisfied client / neighbor and yes 1 is 1 too many. Also anyone that knows me, knows I wouldn't know how to remove an online review if my life depended on it.. Probably someone in the neighborhood stepped up as they didn't want to see my reputation jeopardized."

"Hi [Member Name Removed], Although we never meet I want to extend my apologies to you. This is surely not the kind of review we ever want to see but yes in certain ways we deserve it. We spoke with your partner before the hurricane and had every intention of coming by to see what was up. Then we not only got involved with preparing for the storm but also had a storm of our own. As mentioned to you on our last conversation not only did one of our installers fall 30' off a ladder and get seriously hurt but our other installer was rushed to the hospital and now is on Dialysis. We are usually extremely responsive to customers needs and we did fall short here. However 2 points I need to make one is if the control is on the wrong side this is the first I am hearing of it and it can be simply corrected. Second if I sounded annoyed that surely wasn't my intention, frustrated and upset was more the case, the day we spoke we also lost our phones and internet. Luckily we had 3 top installers and 2 helpers. Now we have one working very hard to take up the slack. One helper is quickly moving up the ranks and our installer is expected to be back in about 2 weeks. Please accept my apologies but I did explain this to you on the phone as did Jayne but I understand the frustration when something is broken and not getting fixed timely. All I can offer is that we will try to get to you in the next 10 days and even though you are an hour away and we need high ladders to do the repair I will waive any charges for the repair. Life has it struggles these are both young family men and although I worry for my business and my ratings I care more for giving them the proper time needed to mend. There are a few minor details that need to be finished and I have full confidence that the company will make it right.
This for me is important criteria when evaluating a contractor or supplier. Things happen and a contractors willingness to make it right is what separates the qualified professionals from the con men.
"Sorry, but do you really feel that $75 is excessive ( grade C) for a mechanic to come to your home the same day you called. Which Included accessing the problem, supplying the needed part and returning to install it? . When he Installed the cord to replace the broken one it was determined that the clutch was also not functioning. This shade was NOT originally purchased from us so we needed to do some research to order you the correct part. We are planning on returning when the part arrives included in the same $75 fee.service charge. The part has been ordered and you should expect a call soon. Thanks"
"Hi, Unfortunately delivery time is not in my control, I tried a new source that did promise me sooner then my tried and true supplier that is accurate with their time frame. I think if you check your deposit and payment checks it was just over 5 weeks. I know when we're anxious and especially leaving town it feels like forever. For the record there was a bigger reason that I went with this company. They made your large 80" sliders with just 2 doors giving you a much cleaner open views. I paid a large premium for these and never passed that on as I really wanted you to get the best look and install before you left and I think we accomplished that. They are American made premium wood and in years to come I'm sure you'll love the shutters and forget the extra time they took to receive. :-) Enjoy"
