I have been a client for almost 11 years and I cannot say enough about Montgomery Pet Sitters!!! I travel a lot and it is wonderful to have piece of mind while I am away. Stephan and his staff are extremely responsible and professional. I am continually receiving photos and videos while I am away, which is a wonderful touch. I highly recommend Montgomery Pet Sitters without an ounce of hesitation!

My first dog, Chester, was very old, blind and deaf when we moved to Montgomery Village and first started using Montgomery Pet Sitters. Both Stephan and his assistant were very loving and patient with Chester, and paid very close attention when walking Chester to ensure that he didn't bump into things and was safe. My second dog, Sophie, is a boisterous beagle mix that I got at 9 weeks old. As soon as she had all her vaccinations, I started sending Sophie to dog day care at Stephan's house. He had other well-behaved, social dogs for Sophie to play with and wear her out while I was at work, which was great in those early energetic puppy days! Stephan treats Sophie like a member of the family, and I never worry about her when I go on vacation, because I know Sophie is being well cared for.

The first time, it was very difficult to get them to communicate the status of our cat. I expected an email at least saying they showed up, etc. The second time, they failed entirely to show up. Fortunately, it was only a two-day trip, but we came back to a very hungry cat. This was something that cannot be made up for in any manner. The owner indicated they accidentally scheduled the appointment for August 2018 on their calendar. Given that we had an initial contact by email to set it up, and another contact a week in advance to arrange payment, that just isn't something that should have been missed.

He is fabulous. Reliable and trustworthy.

Jonathan from Montgomery Pet Sitters has been my dog Max's regular walker for a few months. Max is in love with Jonathan! When they started together Max was beyond chubby and quite out of shape. I wasn't able to work him out or get him excited about walks either. He pulled and resisted at every turn. These days Max squeals with glee when Jonathan pulls up and can't wait to get out and about with him. He's also losing a few pounds. Jonathan is both super professional and friendly/ helpful - we are both thrilled to have him! He is also super affordable so don't hesitate to ask Montgomery Pet Sitters if Jonathan can walk your dog for you too!

Extremely well. The pups love Jonathan, Stephan and Nickie. They are very flexible and responsive, able to add an occasional weekend or holiday visit or last minute request. Jonathan always brings in the mail and rolls the garbage can back from the curb to the house on garbage days. Boarding is "family style" in Stephan's home, no cages, with a large, fenced back yard. The price is right where we would expect it to be.

Just wanted to write a quick review for our dog sitter Jonathan. He has been with us for a few months now and has been doing a good job. He sends us updates on how his visit was, including pictures of our dogs. He is reliable and we haven't had any problems with him. I would recommend him as a pet sitter. Happy holidays

Max is a large dog who wasn't the greatest walker in town. His pulling was really taking a toll on my shoulder and arm, so we needed help. Stefan at Montgomery Pet Sitters recommended a better leash system for us and hooked us up with a young man to walk and work with Max on his issues. Jonathan has been walking Max several days/week for several weeks now and the improvement is amazing! Max doesn't agree to go with most walkers at first but he instantly bonded with Jonathan. Now he is beside himself with glee when Jonathan pulls up to park! He is also losing weight as Jonathan can walk him at a pace I couldn't. I think they are friends for life! Jonathan is also super friendly and professional - always plans in advance with me re: days & times, texts when he is enroute and has covered some mornings for me when I had early meetings in the city. He is the best (and most affordable) walker Max has ever had! I trust him completely and would trust him to do other things with Max or care for my kitty or my home as well.

We've used Montgomery Pet sitters for a little over a year now and LOVE them. Very flexible - we have elderly dogs that enjoy walks with Jonathon, who understands their special needs on bad-weather days. We are glad to have the option for doggie daycare when we need it - the new location looks gorgeous. Tender care provided to our guinea pigs too. Prices are very reasonable There was a change in personnel that happened abruptly a few months ago (no one's fault - life intervenes) that went smoothly for us, with very good communication from Stephan - a credit to the company's commitment to provide excellent care in the face of unexpected challenges. We're happy with the Montgomery Pet Sitters, Stephan, and Jonathon (our current walker/caregiver) and definitely encourage folks to try them. Cost of service I put here was for walking our 2 dogs.

Max had never been boarded before so I was nervous. He hasn't been around other dogs and has a lot of behavioral and anxiety related issues. Stefan couldn't have been more helpful or supportive before, during and afterwards. He has a wonderful place in a country setting with a lovely and secure fenced yard for the dogs with access to his basement converted for their use as well. In addition he walked Max around his lovely several acre property every day and sent me update re: how he was doing (well!!). Stefan is very knowledgeable and offered tips on a better leash for Max and other things I could do to help him. He also hooked me up with a walker for Max to help him lose weight and walk better on leash as well as offered doggy day care to give Max more opportunities to run with a pack, play, etc. This is an exceptional (and affordable) dog care service!

They were WONDERFUL! Our original plans for caring for our cats fell through at the last minute, so I contacted Stephan with very little notice. They juggled things so that they could care for our cats. Jonathan came to our house and introduced himself in advance and immediately bonded with our pets. He is a true pet whisperer! He sent us regular emails while we were away letting us know how our cats were doing, and even included some pictures! I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of the service we received and would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to someone else.

Stephan and Mary have been looking after our dogs Charlie and Lucy for 8 years now. We are very comfortable with them and they are quite reliable. Over the last few years Mary has been staying at the house with the dogs for the weekend if we needed to leave town. We have never had any problems or issues, always positive experiences. We are grateful to them for their dedication and service. My wife and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for top notch pet sitters.

INITIAL MEETING: The process of becoming a customer is very thorough. You bring your dog over and stay for a chat while your dog gets comfortable being there (while you fill out some paperwork of course).  You and your canine meet any other visiting doggies and this time gives you a chance to see the professionalism and care in action.  Then you return at a later date to actually drop off the lil' furball for her overnight vacation.

OVERNIGHT FROM THE CANINE VIEW: They love dogs and cater to Isabella's specific needs (being pampered, not having to play with puppies for too long). She stays in the (very clean) house with the human animals. The house is set up so that a crotchety old lady-dog like Isabella may have her nap time away from more energetic puppies, but they can all still see each other and feel part of the pack all day/night.

SPY ON YOUR DOG: The great part is that Mont Pet Sitters (almost immediately) posts fun videos and photos on their company's Facebook page of the dogs having fun in the fenced-in back yard (or relaxing in the living room).  (Isabella has starred in a few of the videos, but Hollywood hasn't discovered her yet.)

VALUE FOR COST: Considering how much they offer in terms of constant care and attention, the pricing is very reasonable. The price is not cheap (unlike boarding your dog in a boring kennel in a pet store where they aren't allowed outside). But-- if you visit them, you'll be amazed at the difference it would clearly make to your dog to stay there.

STAFF: I've met two Mont Pet Sitters' staff members, Mary and Stephan. Both Mary and Stephan are consistently very pleasant to deal with in addition to being obviously very adept at dog care. I changed the length of Isabella's stay and it didn't seem to be a problem at all.

RATING: I'd highly recommend them to friends who love their pets and want to be reassured that they are very well cared for.

Montgomery Pet Sitters provides exemplary service. The well-being of my dogs is an absolute priority. We interviewed many, many pet sitters before finding Stephan. He came to our house several times to meet us and the dogs before our first dog-walking test run. He was extremely patient with all of my questions, concerns and requests. He has also been very conscientious about introducing me personally to any of his colleagues who might be a back-up when we are away. He knows I like (a lot) of updates on how things are going and is extremely responsive about sending emails to assure me that all is well at home. It is clear that he and his colleagues love animals and are committed to providing the very highest level of care.
When I sent my first email inquiry to Montgomery Pet Sitters in 2012, I said that when I found the right company to care for my dogs I would schedule my travel around their availability. I have stayed true to my word. The first thing we do before planning any trip is to check Stephan's availability. Montgomery Pet Sitters has truly earned my trust and confidence. I could not recommend them more highly.

It's been a seamless experience. They took a lot of time to talk w/us about the dogs behavioral history and how we handle them, which is especially important for dogs which is a deaf pit mix.  She's a sweetie but can be quirky during walks, becoming anxious because she can't hear what's coming up behind her.  We also use sign language w/her, and provided her signs to the walkers.  The dogs love Mary (our walker) and we feel very comfortable with her coming & going from our home and her handling of them.  
We were also especially pleased with how they cared for our 3 guinea pigs while we were gone.  Small animals and exotics can be trickier than cats and dogs, and need very different care and observations to make sure they're doing well.  Mary did a great job caring for them, changing their (very big) cage, monitoring one that was having a minor health issue that started the morning that we left, and notifying us of about a potentially important behavior change with another one of our guinea pigs - turns out it was nothing but I was really pleased that she was so attentive to their well-being.
Fantastic company - I'm very pleased we found them and plan to continue to use them as long as we have pets.

As always, Montgomery Pet Sitters did a great job looking after my cat.  I needed to make a last minute change to my travel schedule, and Stephan easily accommodated my request.  Carly sent me updates on how my cat was doing while I was away, including sending me pictures.  Their prices are fair, and they do good work.  I recommend them to friends in the area.
