Image Dry Cleaners

I took in a king size comforter for dry cleaning. Image Dry Cleaners must have washed it instead of dry cleaning it. I got back and it measured a full size, was totally lumpy, the decorative cording around the edges was hard and crispy as though it had been dried in a too-hot dryer, the label on the item had actually melted into a hard piece from too much heat. I showed Nancy the damage and explained what happened. She called me back and said Scott Mazzo (the owner) agreed to pay me for a replacement comforter. I provided a copy of the invoice for the replacement, but have never received reimbursement. I called many, many times, was always told that Scott Mazzo would call me back, but he never did. Then he changed his story and said he would have an independent lab test the fabric and he stated the test came back that the fabric was defective. Of course, he could not product a copy of the lab report that he promised me. I don't believe any test was ever done. Scott wouldn't reply to the Better Business Bureau when contacted, however, Scott Mazzo's partner named Patel called me and screamed at me for reporting them. Palm Beach County Consumer Affairs Division contacted Scott Mazzo and he agreed, per Monica Saumweber, Investigator, he would mail a certified check on July 15, 2011 and send her a copy of the check. He did neither. After Monica made several attempts to contact him, Scott Mazzo would not take or return her calls.
