Climate Control Services

I signed a contract with Climate Control in February 2022 and again in February 2023, I recently (2024) needed to call upon them to fix an issue in my Florida Condo and turns out the warranty that I paid for DOES NOT cover ANY of my appliances, other than my washer and dryer. Apparently there is some small print on the back of the contract that states they DO NOT COVER appliances outside of the United States. When they came out to quote the contract, none of this was brought to my attention as my entire Kitchen has appliances not made in the US. Please be on the look out for this company, as they do not disclose everything up front. WHAT A SCAM.

I had a home service contract with Climate Control to cover the appliances in my condominium. After over 30 years of paying my service contract I made a claim on my air conditioner unit which was determined to have a thermostat issue. Shortly thereafter I was informed that my air conditioner was not covered because they considered it a "window" air conditioner, even though the unit was designed by the manufacturer as a permanent, "through the wall" unit, and not a portable window unit. Climate Control Services was clearly aware of what kind of air conditioners I owned when they wrote my contract 30 years ago, yet they accepted my premiums every year. I made 10+ telephone calls to the contract manager Melinda and other people in management over a three-week period. All them were ignored and never returned. Out of desperation I sent a certified letter requesting a pro-rata cancellation and refund of my remaining contract period as outlined in my contract. Then, and only then did I finally received a return phone call confirming that I will be receiving a refund, but they expected me to remove this negative review in return. Of course, I politely refused. And, as you can see, it’s still here and it’s not going anywhere, anytime soon. I ultimately replaced the unit at a cost of $830.00 and plan legal action for breach of contract to recoup my loss. Also, as of today, I am still waiting for my refund check to arrive. My contract clearly stated that my "air conditioner", my "humidistat", and "thermostat" were covered in my contract. Don’t let what happened to me happen to you. I strongly suggest that if you are shopping for an honest and professional service company for your home you look elsewhere. These people can’t be trusted.

They were the best. They were friendly, communicated what was done, and were the best I have ever had service my system. They have earned my respect and I will be switching my service contract to them.

We have had an annual contract with them for the last 7-8 years now. We pay an annual fee that covers almost everything besides major replacement of appliances.

The reason we have them is that we don't need to be present for services, and a lot of contractors won't do that. I have never had a problem with them at all. We think the price is reasonable considering this is a 50 year old house and things go wrong all of the time. They almost always can get someone out the same day which I think is extraordinary. They will give us a two hour window in the morning, and then whoever they are sending out will give us a call as they're on their way from their last call. We never have to worry about being stuck at the house waiting all day for a contractor.

I had an expensive contract...I called about my A/C going out and agreed to pay for Emergency repair on Sat.
They came Sat. evening and diagnosed problem but didn't have the part. Said I would be fixed on Monday
Late! Monday afternoon person came and 'played' with me about a 'second' part he couldn't fix - until I gave him
$75 dollars extra. He finally fixed the part. This cost me $186 out of pocket! I was paying over $450 / year.
1. He wasnt supposed to charge me extra - company repaided me after I complained - he still works for them
2. He lied that he fixed me early in the afternoon when he really came in the evening...
I have dropped my contract with this company -

He was very good and did everything perfectly.

They provided good service and were efficient.

They do a great job. I recommend this company to all my friends.

The installation was great, the guys that put it in were clean and knowledgable. Overall it was well worth the few dollars more when i saw how it came out. I just got my electric bill and was so happy it was lower than last year that i decided to write this.

We had a leak. The condensation thing was blocked. They cleaned that up. They came out here earlier. I have a service contract with them. They come when I call them. They take care of whatever the problem is. They are responsive. I don’t have anything to compare the price with.
