Cliff Espanet Creative Carpentry & Handyman

Cliff was a huge problem for us from the very beginning.  He took other jobs while doing our bathroom and showed up when he could fit us in.  It took him over two months to nearly complete the work before I fired him for his numerous no call no shows and sloppy, unprofessional work.  This was at best a two week job.    He cracked existing tiles in the bathroom walls which can't be replaced because they can't be matched.  The floor tile he laid  had 3 broken tiles and numerous chipped tiles before I ever stepped foot in the room...up to 4 now and expect more because they were laid on an uneven surfact somehow.  I am sure we will have to pull up his tile and have it redone correctly.  He painted over rough patches on the wall which went unsanded and never bothered to use a base coat.  He carelessly sawed into the tile on the wall while installing a medicine cabinet and installed the sink incorrectly.  The bathroom is a disaster.  I hired a professional painter to repaint the walls.  He (painter) told me the room was a mess and he cleaned up what he could and repaired an electrical outlet Cliff installed and redid all the caulking.  A light Cliff installed works when it wants which makes me nervous.  I will need to bring in an electrician to repair it and check everything Cliff did.  So, no, we are not at all happy with the work Cliff did and sincerely wish we had hired a professional.  I wouldn't recommend using him for anything.

This the second time I called Cliff to do renovation work in my house.  He has always been on time,dependable and extremely professional. The bathroom results were exceptional and I am one happy customer.  Will call Cliff the next time I need work done!

He was very unreliable and was repeatedly a no show. After 3 weeks on the job and not finishing 2 projects --laminate flooring and garage rehab, we refused to accept another excuse as to why he couldn't complete a days work.  He walked off the job leaving us in a real bind.   Very unprofessional.  Will never use again and I highly advise to stay away from him!!

WOW...just a great experience from start to finish. Cliff is professional, takes pride in doing an excellent job.  He built cabinet doors and draws to match existing trim and countertop on large outdoor cabinet.  He went out of his way to find the exact color match and I am so pleased.  I highly recommend Cliff and I have already booked him for another project.
