The air conditioner was not working, and they came out. It was just a blocked screen. It was quick and easy. I didn't feel the price was bad since it was something simple I don't think it was much of anything except maybe the service call so, it was good. I've used them quite often over the past they also take care of my house.

Technician noticed that FPL on-call system had turned off power to system. He ran out and changed starting capacitor on compressor to charge me $320 for service call. Part costs about $35 and would not give me old part because not needed.

Overall a good experience. Mark explained that the system was in good condition after testing, did some basic cleaning, and offered good overall advice.

Phone was answered immediately and service technician arrived within 40 minutes.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it within a few minutes.  He was courteous and professional and the cost was very reasonable.

The a/c went out very late Friday night and we called a company to come out and paid emergency rate. The guy who showed up smelled like alcohol and after we paid $350 he told us there was nothing we could do but replace the inside unit. He gave us some prices for a brand we had never heard of and said it would take several days. Then we called Astro Air. they came out the next morning and confirmed the inside unit should be replaced, but they explained why it would be best to replace both at the same time. They gave us the choice of different tonnage and manufacturers and answered all of our questions. They installed both the next day along with a new thermostat and rewired everything for no additional cost because the people we bought the house from had done a lot of work and repairs themselves and wires were not properly covered or grounded. It has been several months and we are so happy with the service and results and we got a good price on the units. We even got a follow-up call the next day to make sure we were happy. The owner is local and has a lot of integrity which is rare. Highly recommend.

We had a few estimates, but Astro was the most comprehensive based on options they provided and recommendations to improve our efficiency.  Astro came out to look at the house and check the existing system.  We agreed the system was close to its end of life due to age (8 years), but more importantly, lack of any maintenance.  To improve air circulation, they also recommended adding a return to the far end of the home.  They quoted 2 days to remove the old system and install the new one.
Astro said they would provide the best system options to choose from based on the size of the home without preference to a manufacturer.  They gave us the details for each system so we could make an educated decision.  As promised, we were not steered toward one brand over another.  We did our research, and of course, cost and efficiency were key factors in making our decision.  Not to mention the ability to finance.
The first day, the Tech's removed the existing system and partial plenum.  They were thorough and left the garage very clean.  After seeing the condition of the drywall behind the support box and air handler, Astro was very flexible and gave us a couple of days to replace and paint the rotted drywall behind and around the air handler in the garage.  The second day they completed the new system install, plenum, and improvements.  All work was completed within both days.
We are very happy with our experience and would highly recommend Astro Air.  Mike and his team of Tech's were honest, experienced, and professional.

I was unhappy with my previous provider who told me the AC unit needed to be replaced for over $8,000.  A friend recommended I call Astro Air, they came and evaluated and said no further maintenance was needed that the unit could last a few days to a year, but certainly did not need to be replaced immediately.  I am ready to replace the unit when necessary.  Their total replacement price will be close to half the price of the previous provider.
