I needed to find somebody that would install a gas dryer. They installed it. I went to another retailer and they wouldn't install the gas installation. Everything was A.

First of all I want to start by saying we had a wonderful experience with Home Tech. My wife and I were in the market for new appliances for our upgraded kitchen. We stopped at the Home Tech showroom in Fort Myers after stopping at a few other large appliance businesses. Home Tech was the absolute best by far. Not only did they have an excellent display but the customer service was great! Mike Hendershot and his crew took the time to research and figure out the nicest and the best quality to fit our budget needs. We were so pleased, and best of all there was no sales pressure to purchase anything. In fact we were not responsible for paying for the appliances until the guys came to our house and did the install. Which again was another awesome experience, the guys were on time and they took their time to show us how everything worked. It seemed as though they really went out of their way to take care of us and wanted us to feel happy not pressured. Thank you Mike and team Home Tech you will have our future business, thank you for the great customer service.

It is an employee-owned company and they basically do everything that I need done. Their quality of service is excellent. Their responsiveness and punctuality could not be better. They are very professional. I have used them for 10 years now.

First off: getting ANYONE at Home-Tech to return a call requires and act of congress, or implied threats. I placed several calls (more than three,I lost count) to get someone to come check out the system. I know it is Summer and they are busy, but three minutes to return a call is not that much. If service is a priority, you return that call. Service is not a priority with this bunch. Anyway, a tech finally came out, and tuned-up the unit and recharged the exterior unit. I asked him to check the thermostat, he pushed a few buttons, after telling me he didn't know that particular model thermostat, and the the fun began. I came home later that day (it was Monday 23 June) and the house was at 84*. The AC was not on. I punched a couple of buttons myownself, and it kicked on and ran for hours, never getting the house below 79*. I like it at 77*. That night, the unit shot off again. I woke up around 3am, to a hot house. I got the AC to work, but the temps ran between 76 and 80 all week. I called Home-Tech DAILY, and received no call-back. I finally got a response when I told them that I would be sending them my electric bill, as it will be through the roof due to THEIR TECH's ineptness. I got a call back that day. They sent another tech that evening (26 June) and HE knew what he was doing. He figured out in a couple of minutes that the thermostat was bad, and replaced it with a new unit. Since then, the temp has been a steady 77*. I had been wondering why my electric bill had been so high, now I know. I am a renter, and my landlord pays for the service plan, so as ling as he uses Home-Tech, I am stuck with them. I, personally, would not use them. Ever.

The Home Tech reservation line informed me it would $99 for the service call plus parts. I asked twice, is that everything? $99 for the complete repair? She answered yes $99 plus parts. When the tech arrived he was unable to fix the refrigerator and charged me an additional $60 for labor, for a total of $159.00. He would also have to return with parts later and charge me for labor again. This was a deceptive trade practice, and my refrigerator is still broke.
On top of that, the technician further wasted my time trying to sell me a service agreement. When I declined, he asked me to sign a receipt after I paid him by check. The receipt had fine print on the front and back. He said it was to confirm the work was done. I said I have no time to read all that now, my check would be my signature. I later read the receipt and it said I signed up for the service agreement. I am glad I didn’t sign it.
BE VERY CAREFUL DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE!

The air conditioner was great. They told me that the checking of the appliance would take $100. They told me that over the phone. They warned me but he did not do anything. He told me that there is nothing he could look at. I felt that the price was pretty fair. It was the standard around here. Their quality is good and excellent.

We have used them for twenty years. They have a store that we get discount rates from. They have service men that come to the house in their vans; there are certain people for air conditioners and certain people for dishwashers, so they have specialists in all fields. They are real big in this area. We first started using them when we were renting our house out, we rent it full time now, so we just kept them. They make sure everything is good and there are no problems with the appliances. The guys are all experts in their fields.

We have an annual contract. They are professional and have well trained people. They arrive on time and do their job. We've used them for 4 years. Their price is competitive.
