The Home Depot - Bonita Springs

They were excellent to work with and did exactly what they said they were going to do. The price for the installation was inexpensive.

I have a buddy that works at Home Depot. They had no lights. They had no air conditioning. They had a couple of terminals working and even the cheapest places down here weren’t even open. They didn’t have any phone service. They didn’t have any lights and we didn’t have any refrigerator so we sent to Home Depot and that was on the 15th. The refrigerator we wanted was $1,700. It was on sale for $500 off and we found out the sale ended the day before. So, we said okay, we’ll take this other one and that was going to be $1,600, but I can’t put it in today can you come back tomorrow? So, I went back on Sunday after driving through the water that was covering the roads and everything and she pulls up the same thing and it’s now down to $1,039. So, it went down another $500 in one day. So, we rang it up and wasn’t supposed to be able to get it for a week or 10 days. I said could you check that Tuesday just in case somebody cancelled. We got it 3 days later so everything worked out. In fact, on my way home after buying it the lady called me and she says oh, the girl that rang it up rang it up wrong. We owe you $110 more. So, I said hey this is my day. Now I’ll go buy 2 bottles of Southern Comfort. Now I’m going to celebrate. We liked the Samsung. We wanted the French doors and Samsung is the only one that comes with a 5-year compressor warranty. Everybody else is one year so we said hey, what the heck. We now have to take out a loan just to fill it, it’s so much bigger than our other refrigerator. We go out and buy groceries and it looks empty. It was a good deal. I’ve been a Home Depot customer for 20 years. We went to Pine Ridge first. They didn’t have anything. There wasn’t anybody working in the area for the appliances so we drove over to the other one which is the same distance from our house and that’s where my buddy works and so he took me back and got me hooked up with the lady who works in appliances and she did a great job. Chippy, I wanted to do a survey and give her a good rating and all that, because they send this survey thing, except you have to fill in certain information off your sales slip. Well, the problem is, the first sales slip once they cancelled it and gave me the $110 none of those numbers meant anything so I couldn’t even give her the good rating. I tried, but I took her in a bagel when I ordered it because I told her I’ll bring you breakfast because I’ve got to be there at 9:30. I didn’t know what kind of donut, so I got her a bagel. I have used them again since then. When we were preparing for the hurricane, you go down to Home Depot and you can’t find anything. I couldn’t find any tarps. I couldn’t find anything. They made it right, after I made the purchase they said 6 months, and I go now wait a minute. I just spent $1200 and here I’ve got a coupon that says anything over $499 I get 18 months to pay it off, no interest. So, I called their credit department and told them and they said well, did you use the coupon and I said I didn’t even know that we were going there exactly, but when I talked to the sales person I says, I’ve got a coupon at home. She says don’t worry about it. Once you’ve got a credit card from them they know they sent you one of them and they will automatically give it to you and I told that to her and she said well that’s not exactly right, but then she says one more statement. Well, I notice you did get sent one, and I’m thinking well isn’t that exactly right. If you knew I got sent one why should I have to take it and tell them? Why wouldn’t you automatically give it to me? So, she says okay, we’ll give it to you. It’ll take two billing statements to catch up and I said well, I know what I’m going to pay every month I’ll pay that. They did correct it and that not them that’s City Bank. They use City Bank as their banking credit.

I did a little bit of checking around. They are a reliable company. Price is an over riding issue with me.

We began our work with The Home Depot in Bonita Springs, Florida in January and it took until September to complete the work.  We started with a good idea of the design we wanted and never changed initial decisions. Problems arose due to systems in place within Home Depot. 
Our kitchen designer represented herself as the overall project manager, but we learned much later that she had no inclination or authority to make things happen on a timely basis.  This caused delays, first several days beyond her promises in the early design stages, and then up to eight weeks from taking final measurements to the actual final design and pricing.  Payment in full at this point was something we did with some concern due to the delays experienced.  We were too far along to back out!
This front end, from initial visit to final design release was the problem, and until Home Depot corrects this aspect of their project management offerings, we won't be back for project work.
Other than the Home Depot design and order front end, the suppliers and trades involved in this work were excellent.  We found pleasant people, timely calls to update us on progress, and good skills.  It took only a month from cabinet delivery to completion, including the granite surfaces. 
We ended with a beautiful kitchen but it was agony to get there.
 

They were great and very helpful!  I would absolutely use them again in the future.
