Showed up 32 hours late with no notice. Spent 15 minutes doing a simple new washer/dryer hookup but would not plug in the washer or dryer because “I don’t install these things I just guide the water”. Instructed my girlfriend to run a wash cycle, collected $250 payment and left. The plumber did not attach the drain hose so it flooded our brand new lanai carpet and subfloor leaking into the tenant below. I called plumbing nerds every day for 4 days spoke to someone each time and left them a message to have a manager call me. No one has returned my call, it’s been a week now. I would never hire these incompetent people.

My wife engaged plumbingnerds to do some work at our Estero, Fl. house. They changed the filters in an undersink reverse-osmosis unit (we supplied the filters) and the charge was $360.60. They changed out the fill valve, flapper and supply on a toilet and the charge was $281.13. They cleaned the drain on a bath tub and charged $270.45. They also did a water heater flush and plumbing inspection for $69.00. They deducted $25.00 which was listed as a gift. Total charges were $956.18 for less than 3 hours labor and about $50.00 in parts. When I called to complain about what I believe were excessive charges, the service manager offered to reimburse approximately $70.00 for a coupon and military discount. Will not use again!

I have since priced out this job to 3 other companies for the exact same install of a tankless water heater and have realized that Plumbing Nerds overcharged me considerably. I am very disappointed with the installation charge of $4383.60. I have received other quotes from reputable plumbing services and each one came in under $2,200. Do not get ripped off by this company.

They tell you it is a $85 fee to come onsite which they take off the bill. This never happened. They did not disclose the amount to open a wall until after the work was done. They also said the toliet replacement was $800 and was charged over $900. I also asked for an itemized statement so the HOA could reimburse and this did not happen. After speaking with the owner I still got nowhere. This company is overpriced, not thorough, let my neighbors unit a mess, and not easy to work with. The over score of the company looks okay but if you read through the majority of the reviews EVERYONE has the same experience.

The technician Jorge Ramirez arrived promptly. He diagnosed the problem and explained in detail what he was going to do. He provided a quote which was very reasonable. I am very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, and quality of work. He asked if we had any questions and was very patient. I have found a plumber if we ever need anything done in the future. Great Job!

At first not well, my fault. I tried to fix my problem myself and made matters worse. I called three different companies, left a message at one, spoke to office person and they were to get back to me and Plumbing Nerds. I explained my problem to all and Plumbing Nerds send a technician that day to my house. When Jay showed up and seen my mess he professionally gave us options to fix our well. He showed up the next morning with help and got a very difficult job done. ( I dropped the well cap bolts into the well.) Billing and payment options were all handled and we have water again! Thank You Plumbing Nerds and Jay.

I thought there price for installing the kitchen faucet that I supplied was outrageous. They charged $413. I only had them do it, because I wanted a Bradford White water heater and they were a reseller. I made it clear to everyone I talked to that I wanted a Bradford White water heater. They charged me $1,200 for that which I thought was a little high, but I thought I was getting a top rate water heater. Then they didn't install a Bradford White. Turns out I didn't have anything in writing saying they were going to install a Bradford White, but I certainly felt cheated. I'll never use Plumbing Nerds again.

This was not the plumbing nerds I have used so many times over the last 7 years or so. To start with the positive, communication to confirm appointment times, and updates when tech would arrive was fantastic. This was a two part visit. The original call was for a price and hopefully completion of a few projects I wanted to be done around the house. I had a low flow toilet (wanted drain lines checked), I had a sink aerator that needed to be replaced in the bathroom and wanted my kitchen under sink filtration filters replaced, as well as a flush of water heater. To start the tech was professional and friendly, including wearing his mask and boots in our home. The moment I mentioned the flushing issues and wanted to check the line, I was told it’s the toilet and it cannot be repaired, and you need a new one. Without even looking or flushing the toilet once. What he described made sense in water flow, so I asked about cost. His immediate reply was I was looking at around $1000! I asked about getting a new one from a local store as this seems super high, and perhaps having them install it. He then told me the ones at home stores are not going to work, as they aren’t made in a first press porcelain mold so it would wobble and be uneven. Well who wants that? So he offered me the lowest priced Gerber toilet he had, and with discount (never shown a discount on the invoice) was told $850 was bottom total. Toilets at home stores average $100-200. That’s over $600 for the install. I then asked about just replacing the two 10” filters and was told to expect cost around $220-280! I believe that was without buying the filters. I asked the girl who called to confirm the first appointment if she needed filter numbers or something for the technician to ensure he had them in his vehicle. Was told they have my past invoices and wouldn’t need that from me. Guess what? No filters were with him. So even if I wanted to do it, they couldn’t. I also had them install a water heater about a year back and was overdue for a flush of the heater, as part of the extra service I paid on install. I had him do that and he said my water was terrible and best suggestion would be a $1500-2000 install of a whole home filtration system. He also suggested I replace all the water line shut off valves in the house at $100-200 each (there are 15x) as well before they burst and flood the house. I decided to just do the toilet as that is a must for now. By this point I felt it was probably more cost effective for me to buy a new home (house was built in 2005). Next appointment, same tech shows up, no boot covers this time, and gets right to work. On his last visit he was very social. This time, he literally told me “listen boss, let’s do the chit chat later, I’m in the zone”. Not even the slightest exaggeration. I had spoken to him twice in the fifteen mins he had been here. Even if he needed to focus, I’m pretty sure there was a more professional way of handling that. It was offensive. He later told me that it was his inability to breathe in his mask which I completely understand, but still not even an apology. Between the over pricing of every service need, the “finding of $5000 in other needed repairs that weren’t broken” I have been completely turned off by these guys. Wasn’t even impressed with the toilet. I cannot tell you how many friends family and clients I have referred REPETITIVELY, but this was my last. I’m not sure if the company changed hands or what, but things have changed significantly enough I would not recommend them to anyone after this call. Super disappointed.

The installation went great. They scheduled the permit inspection, unfortunately, it was only for the plumbing, not the electrical. The inspector would not sign off for the electrical part because it was not up to code. Plumbing Nerds came out and fixed the electrical portion, the inspector came out and approved the permit OVER A MONTH after the installation was completed. We were able to utilize the water heater during that time, and the final inspection went off without a hitch. Very happy with the hot water and installation, once it was done to code. Thanks Plumbing N***, you made it right.

The service was $1400 to install a sink, quite pricey, but they were quick to get the job done. They came out same day, and one rep was there for 3 hrs (we supplied the parts). Wanted to use again, but had them quote another job that was so outrageous ($600 to replace a toilet (labor only), $2500 to rebuild a sink - that is $400 to purchase new)... I have the impression that he thought he could take advantage of a female owner (when I mentioned I have had a lot of plumbing work done, and the quote was very high, he called back and said he could do it for less... he "misquoted") To top it off they cashed our check that was sent, and also took a phone payment (we are having to dispute with the bank now, even though the check was made out to PLUMBING NERDS - they claim someone else must have cashed it) A great first transaction turned into an unfortunate one :(

$200 and my tub still drains very slow. It takes 2 or more hours to drain after a quick shower. We were told that it would cost $1,500 to $1,800 to remove a piece of drain stopper that was rusted ! IL have also had horrible service in the past from Roto-Rutor ,years ago when they sent someone that charged me over $600 to put in new pipes under my kitchen sink and he cut off the access to the hot water. I called many times and was always told that the owner was out of town. I had them before and they went on the roof and snaked the pipe for $100,but the man they sent was way to heavy to climb a ladder or get on my roof. Nothing was ever don't to fix my hot water. I don't have much faith in plumbing businesses anymore!

Omar was simply great. He found the leak in an instant and explained to us that the gasket had dried up. He quickly solved the problem with some clear caulk and then answered a couple of questions about the kitchen sink and garbage disposal. We always call this company for any issues. They are wonderful.
