Gregg arrived within 10 minutes of the scheduled time in a horrendous rainstorm. His care in handling the clock was amazing. He oiled various internal parts of the mechanism and, somehow, got the chimes working again. When I told him that the pendulum had fallen and knocked out the bottom of the case he took off the pendulum and weights (wearing cotton gloves so he would not get fingerprints on the brass), tied the chains so they would stay in place on their gears, and tipped the clock so that I cpould try to hammer the bottom back into place. When I was done, he completely reassembled the clock with the utmost care. Even though he spent about 1/2 hour with the case problem he only charged me for the oiling of the clock. Finally, he told me that the repair was guaranteedfor a full year and that if any additional work was necessary, the amount that I had already paid would be applied towards the repair. This is a company that takes their work seriously and is exceptionally careful when dealing with delicate instruments. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
