When I emailed John our possible choices and ideas (Sony TV, a Klipsch sound bar, and sony Blu-ray), I asked for his professional opinions on our choices, as we were open to input. His response was "This project is heading down a road I neither agree with or wish to be associated with. For this reason I am going to pass on installing this system. Best of luck."
I appreciate John's honesty and his responding to me quickly---which is why I gave him a C on professionalism and responsiveness. However, his response seemed to me unprofessional. I don't know with what he disagreed, as he didn't say. I am glad he was direct, as in the end we now have a great installation from someone else; we have a Sony tv, blu-ray player and sony 7 sound bar with wireless subwoofer, all of which are wonderful, look and sound great, and allow us direct internet access for amazon prime, Netflix, Pandora, etc, in addition to Bluetooth streaming. A chair we thought would be in the way of remote functionality was addressed easily and poses no problem at all.
Maybe John wanted us to spend more, maybe he wanted it to look how he wanted, maybe he didn't like we were two women, maybe he decided our project was too small. I wouldn't know as he didn't say.
"I wanted to take a moment to respond to my most recent review. I did decline this job as it is my right, just as it is your right not to hire me. At the end of the day, all I did was take time out of my day to drive to their home (free of charge) to meet / inform the potential clients on a proper system. 90% of my work is in Naples and these ladies were in Ft Myers, which is fine, but I also think about long term customer service after the install and due to the fact I was not entirely sure how well the components they picked out would work together and the fact it would not be easy to quickly return to service this home I simply passed on the job. I hope any potential client would look at the total work of all my reviews and notice that the only mark lower than an A or B were the two jobs I decided not to take. I have a passion for my work and a good eye on what works well and looks proper together. If the job is outside my comfort zone I would rather be honest and pass than to do the install and never return calls for servicing the job later."

It went very well, he was very helpful try to help us fix what we had and pointed out the equipment that was not working. He drove all the way from Naples to CapeCoral for the appointment but he did not charge us a cent.
I would highly reccomend him to anyone in need of his services.
John was so courteous and gracious and incredibly patient getting on the line with Apple Service for us (he knew far more than they did about the installation end)-- not trying to talk us into buying anything new and working to find ways to make what we had work. Now that we know him, we're thinking about some other improvements in our home electronics. And, although he's set up to do really big jobs, he's there for you on the smaller stuff as well. We really appreciated that and we'd call him again in a heartbeat.
