"Thank you for the review!"
"Wow, This review made my day! I will pass it along to everyone. Thank you Cheryl! Leslie"
"Thank you for taking the time to review! We do appreciate them."
"Hi [member name removed], Thank you for your review! I will pass this along to BK. Speaking of 'BK', I see his nickname is sticking! We started calling him 'BK' to reduce confusion having two Karl's(father and son)."
"Thank you for your review! Happy to hear we were able to repair your doors."
"Thank you for your review!"
"Thank you for taking the time to review us in Angie's List. The reviews are very appreciated!"
"Thank you for taking the time to review us! Happy we could help."
I called several providers, including the one on my builidng's preferred provider list.
Received a range of responses, which included services providers claimed were required by my town's regulations. After talking to my town's department of buildings and understanding the true requirments, I kept looking and fiinally found Builder's Glass.
The entire team is straightforward and professional. Their quote was signifcantly less that anyone else, and their end product as good or better than some replacements I've seen in my builiding.
I knew I had found the right provider when they quoted back to me the same permitting and inspecitioon requirements the buildings department had.
This job was done under emergency conditions. I am planning more work, and will absolutely call Builders Glass first.
"Hi [member name removed], Thank you for the detailed review! We look forward to working with you again in the future."
"I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed in the price for the service call and parts for your window. We don't like to surprise anyone with an unexpected bill and we should have gone over the pricing with you prior to the repairs. We do our best to do this, but it sounds like we fell short for you. I do believe the price you paid is more than fair. The replacement balancers are usually around $30.00 which means we only charged $60.00 for the service call. I believe someone in my office kindly gave you a discounted rate, as our service calls for repair work start at $100.00. If a client finds that amount to be out of their budget, we happily recommend a handyman that doesn't have the overhead(storefront, insurance, inventory, etc.) that we have."
"I am happy to hear we were able to fix your windows for you! We have never been a fan of selling our customers something they don't need. Glad to hear that was your experience with us. When the time comes to replace your windows we hope that you will keep us in mind!"
"Thank you for your review [removed members name]! We appreciate the feedback. I apologize for the scheduling issues, and hope we have improved in this area. We have been in the process of moving our location to 41 and it has left Wendy(our scheduler/office manager) with more responsibilities than normal. We do our best to keep our prices competitive and affordable. Unfortunately the insulated glass is something we have to order from our supplier and they do charge aa premium.ON a positive note, you are fortunate your house was built with insulated glass, as most in Florida are not. In fact less than 5% of the homes we replace glass in have the insulated/thermopane glass that is standard in the north. The insulated glass is definitely saving you money on your electric bills! Thank you for your business and we hope to hear from you again for any further glass needs!Sincerely, Leslie Pabst"
"Thank you for your positive review! We strive to provide a quick turn around on all glass table tops. All fabrication and polishing is done on site and it helps us to better serve our customers. Thanks again, Leslie Pabst"
"Thank you for taking the time to review! We appreciate the business and hope to work with you in the future!"
"Thank you for the review!"
He got back to me with in a couple days with the estimate. We had another price that was slightly lower than Builders Glass but they were a newer business and I have had bad luck in the past, as companies seem to come and go quickly in this area. I believe Builders Glass is a family owned business for over 25 years. I felt confident they knew what they were doing and would be around in the future if we ever had a warranty issue. Karl was extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and helped guide us with suggestions.
* Glad we went with Builders Glass over the other company whose price was slightly less. I have heard they are since out of business.
They required a 1/3 deposit which I felt was reasonable.
They were very close on the lead time promised. I was very pleased with that. Wendy in the office was great, she did all the scheduling of the work.
The installation went incredibly smoothly. Within 2 days our Lanai was transformed into a glass room that we can now air condition and use more often. We can open it all up and have a lanai or close the doors and use it as a room. The quality of the doors is great. These doors slide so smooth which is amazing considering the weight of them due to the hurricane glass. Watching the installation crew lift them I realized how heavy duty they are. We also changed out a few windows to Hurricane windows. I was concerned that the change out might damage my drywall or stucco. They replaced 4 windows in one day and left no trace of a mess or any damage to the stucco. I believe this had a lot to do with the installation crew.
The crew that did our job was a father and son team. I could tell they were very experienced. After talking to them I found out that the father, Randy, has been working for Builders Glass for nearly 25 years. His son has been working with him for over 10 years. I couldn't believe that they have been with the company so long! I think this really says a lot about this family owned business, they must be great people to work for.
"Thank you for the review! We hope you are enjoying your new shower doors."
