My car was overheating excessively and when I brought it into the service station and told the mechanic what was wrong he proceeded to remove the radiator cap and hot anti-freeze poured out all over the engine compartment. After most of the anti-freeze had poured out he told me that the thermostat was bad and was stuck partially open. I agreed to a price of $80.00 and told the mechanic to go ahead, after the part was replaced the mechanic took my car out for a ride and discovered the car was still overheating. The mechanic told me that the radiator then needed to be replaced. I was then given a bill for the thermostat and the bill was $90.00, ten more than the original quote, I then asked for a estimate for the removal and replacement of my radiator and the estimate was almost $400.00, I thought that was to high for the job. I shopped around and found another shop I had used before and they did the job for $273070. The shop is a very good shop and they do excellent work I just think there prices are way to high for the area.
