It all started well with the contractor. He understood the scope of the work and prepared a contract. Contractor obtained approval of drawing and I paid the county directly for building permits. Work began but plumber and other subcontractors showed up randomly after 6 pm to work. What should have taken 2 months to complete was semi done after 7 months. The foreman did some of the final bathroom fixture installation and baseboard himself and then the contractor and foreman abandoned the project. I had to hire and pay an electrician, a plumber to fix the errors, a person to finish plastering the ceiling and walls and a service to remove the debris. I had to deal with the county directly in order to obtain the final plumbing inspection, the building inspection and CO.
