Arthur came to our home to provide an in person estimate which was right on the money so to speak. He was very professional. Obviously does moving down to a science.
Went very well overall. Four men were scheduled to show up, but only three arrived. Arthur made a rate/price change to account for the unexpected.
The three men arrived on time and worked efficiently, carefully, and had a great attitude. There was no damage to any of our belongings during the move.

At first I was very skeptical because we have had much difficulty with movers in the past; eg price raising, tardiness, etc.
Well, my skepticism was shattered after my extremely positive experience with Move on Demand. The owner 'Arthur' was courteous, flexible, professional, and always returned my calls promptly. There were several changes to the move date caused by the buyer, but Arthur was able to make changes to his schedule to accomodate this. No fuss, no pricing changes!
His men showed up for the move precisely on time. They were personable, experienced, accommodating, and professional. They moved a considerable amount of large furniture, valuable artwork, china, etc. No damage at all was done to the house or belongings on the move out.
The same men moved all into the new house with no fuss or damage whatsoever. Since then all has been unpacked and nothing was damaged, soiled or missing.
I rarely write reviews, but Move on Demand is a special company that deserves a superlative review. Movers in general have a bad reputation for good reasons, but Move on Demand is in a class of its own. I highly recommend them and doubt very much if you would br disappointed.

They promised to arrive at a certain time, and did arrive on that time. They were very professional and courteous. They followed our instructions and we had a tremendous experience with them. They had a very reasonable price in my mind and I would highly recommend them to anyone moving in the Florida area. The owner was very nice as well.

Quick sale of our Apartment gave us only 2 weeks to pack and move all of our belongings. Without knowing the exact closing date, we procrastinated and waited to call the movers. We called a mover whom we have used several times in the last few years, he was very hesitant to fit us in with such short notice but did manage to arrange a pick up on Wednesday, storage at his facility Wed.-Thurs.-Fri.-Sat-Sun and delivery to our new residence on Monday. Although this was not the ideal situation we booked it based on the fact that we felt we had no other options. 5 days before the move we received a proposal from this mover for anywhere between $7500-$9000 we were shocked being that we were moving within the same Zip Code, and felt we were being taken advantage of.
Saturday night I did a Google search for last minute movers, without much luck I went To Angie's List and started my search with the Highest rated mover first-Move On Demand. I left Arthur a brief message and he responded immediately. He arranged to meet at our apt. the next morning, he came promptly, took a quick look, and asked what it was that we actually wanted. We said Ideally we would love to have our apt. emptied Thurs. morning and have it all delivered to our new place Friday afternoon. With his very pleasant manor and a smile Arthur said he would get the job done. He even gave us the option of a flat rate or by the man and hour, we chose the flat rate $3300,( I guessed this move should be around $3500.) which we felt was extremely reasonable based on the quantity of furnishings and the short notice.
5 men arrived Thurs. morning at 8:00am as promised. They were pleasant, professional, and all were very easy to communicate with. They bubble wrapped, boxed, taped, blanketed everything in sight. They brought everything down 9 floors and kept coming up for more. We also had several large pieces taken down via our terrace by a huge crane, the crane operator was impressed by how well these movers had secured everything for the craning down. Each man knew just what to do and each and everyone of the just kept pushing forward with no B.S.. Their expertise was obvious by the way they managed to get everything into their truck.
They left our Apt. Thurs at 3:00pm , and told us that we would see the same crew Friday afternoon. Friday they arrived at our home at 1:00pm, as promised, they brought everything in and put it just where we wanted it, many boxes were marked MBR, LR, DEN etc. so they didn't need to ask where they go. They unpacked everything that they packed and NOTHING was broken or damaged, they wiped their feet on the way in and didn't make one mark on the newly painted walls, shampooed carpets or polished floors.
These guys are great, I usually hesitate to recommend anyone but these guys are the exception!!!!

The name of the person is Art Yancy. The workers were very nice, efficient, responsive, hardworking and efficient. There were five men who came and they finished moving on their said time which was five hours. Their price is in line with everybody else. There were downfalls in the middle but we made it through like when there was a confusion on which address they were supposed to show up.

Spoke with Arthur to set up appointment and although he was not sure at the exact time they would be able to do the move we were scheduled for Thursday 5/30/2013 sometime in the early afternoon. This gave me time to still wrap & pack some of our items being moved. To my surprise the guys showed up at 10 am - a few hours earlier than I expected and I wasn't quite ready for them but they were so eager to just assist with the move they went right to work. Very delicate items were handled with the utmost care and the whole job was packed and moved into our new location in just over 3 hours ! Theatrics would HIGHLY recommend this company.

We hired Move On Demand based upon their numerous reviews on Angie's List. In addition, I was referred to Move On Demand by a friend who recently used them for their move and were completely satisfied. One of the owners came to my house to give me an estimate. he went room by room to determine exactly what the move involved. He then gave us a written estimate based on his findings: which included the number of men on the job, the size of the truck, the approximate time frame to complete the move and the approximate cost of the move. This was the most professional estimate I received from all the movers I called. on the day of the move, the men showed up on time, clean uniforms and began wrapping the furniture. They were organized and skilled who took charge of the situation and accomplished the move in a timely and efficient manner. What more can I say " It was the BEST MOVE we ever experienced. These guys get my vote.

I needed local movers and went to Angies list to look at grades. I found this company and called with questions. The man was very evasive and void of answering questions. I work in a very busy law practice and have experience with customer service. This gentleman was poor on customer service and somewhat sarcastic. He said, well if you found us on Angies List then you know we are good. Would not give an average house move even with great details provided to him.
Perhaps this company is getting a little too much puffery.

This local move was to downsize from a much larger condo. This created some difficulty in placing large furniture in a smaller apartment All of this was taken in stride. Even at the end , I had to rearrange the bedroom for better walking clearance. The movers took the extra work in stride without a single complaint and with smiles. It was awkward to rearrange the furniture, but I knew I couldn't do it myself. For them, they did it without complaint. They were careful of all of my furniture and the walls and corners and doors. We experienced no damage to anything. (They did a great job.) WOW! I've moved alot. I've never had better movers. I recommend them to anyone.

Received a call from my email inquiry and set up an estimate but the guy rushed us through the phone call. I had to pause him to ask a few questions and told him I found him on Angieslist right away he said that I wouldn't qualify for their curent deal but at that point he did not even ask me how many bedrooms etc.. I asked why not and he said well maybe. He proceeded to tell me that it would cost me around $700!! This is for a local move, about 8 miles, a small one story home to another one story, we are packing our own things, and dont have a lot of furniture. When I told him that I received many other estimates at around $400 he proceeded to immediately wrap up the phone call as if it was a waste of his time. Thumbs down in my book, he didn't even take the time to ask for any details, just that it was a three bedroom home.

"Move on Demand" is a CLASS ACT! The moving men were total gentlemen in every respect; plus not one item was damaged. They went out of their way to make the move a wonderful experience with no stress whatsoever. They could not do enough to be helpful and extremely pleasant. Don't bother going to any other moving company because there is no mover that is better! And, the price was half of everyone else. I can't believe that they sent 5 men who worked from 8am to 5pm and all I paid was $1410. for the entire move, I don't know how they do it. I though that there would be some kind of trick or something I overlooked in the contract and I would be shocked at the end with an additional charge - it did not happen! " Move on Demand" kept their price at $1410 and delivered 110% quality service . I was so pleased at their excellent performance that I gave each man a $50 tip to say "Thank You".

We like using Angie's List because we hate the drama of a poor customer service experience. For as wonderful as Angie's List can be for finding the best guys in town, there is a caveat. When local companies get "discovered" on Angie's List, they sometimes struggle to maintain their quality of service when demand spikes. We recently hired Move on Demand, and the experience started off great. Arthur was very prompt at coming out to give us a quote, and he was very amenable to fitting our move on his very busy schedule. However during the move, walls were damaged in the house we moved out of which had to fixed in pinch before the closing (meaning that repair was out of pocket for us). The movers also damaged a few pieces of furniture including breaking the glass on a mirror-finish dresser that went in our daughter's room. The movers made a note of the damage on the receipt and promised that Aurthur would take care of it. Once the movers left (with payment) the customer service from Move on Demand evaporated. Arthur did not return phone calls or follow-up on repairing the drawer as the movers had promised. After multiple attempts to contact him, he told my husband a very different story from the one he told me, but claimed he had contacted the furniture store and was waiting for confirmation on getting a new drawer ordered. After 3 weeks of waiting and hearing nothing from Move on Demand, I was at my limit with having to choose between looking at broken glass or a missing drawer in my daughter's room. I went to the store where I bought the dresser and was able to get a replacement drawer on the spot. (So much for the story I got that a drawer had to be ordered and that it would take some time.) I had to pay for the drawer myself. It may have cost me some money I had not expected to pay, but the experience has cost Move on Demand a customer. I COULD NOT in good conscious give Move on Demand a positive review. My advice to anyone who elects to hire Move on Demand is to carefully inspect everything before the movers leave. If anything is damaged in the move, I would STRONGLY advise holding back partial payment until the issues are FULLY remedied. It does not matter if the movers make a note of the damage on your receipt, once the company is paid, our experience has been that you are on your own. This was certainly not the experience we expected based on the reviews we read. Buyer beware.

I spoke to you as well as your husband and explained that we could not find the direct replacement instantly.Your furniture came from Pier One Imports. We went to our local Pier One store and ordered the drawer. We were informed 5/12/13 it had arrived in the store. It seems that not all Pier One’s carry that model. When I called you today, you informed me that you had already purchased the drawer. It would have been nice of you to have informed us of your purchase. We would have gladly reimbursed you for the drawer. Every attempt you made to contact me was replied to, in fact I spoke to your husband 10 days ago and reaffirmed our order for the drawer from our Pier One Store.. What would you have said if the Store you purchased the drawer from did not have it in stock? Wouldn’t you have been willing to wait for them to special order it for you as we did. When we spoke right after the move you were thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of your move with with the exception of the the broken drawer. As of today we were never informed of any damages to wall or other furniture. Great. We were very pleased with the entire move. They owner came out to give us an estimate and gave a much better price than several other companies. On moving day, 4 men arrived and wrapped all of the furniture that needed wrapping. They were very pleasant the entire day. They then made two drop stops and also removed some furniture from one of the other locations. We have moved before and have never had such an easy moving experience.

Arthur came by our house with an estimate and it was accurate. We had a team of four to help us on relatively complicated logistics. They came through with flying colors. They were helpful, full of advice and took care of our things. I highly recommend them.
Only small minus was that they were almost an hour late arriving to the job. A quick phone call to Arthur cleared up the issue and they arrived shortly afterwards.

How did this go overall?? By far the best moving experience I have ever had. This is definitely not the cheapest mover on the block, but they are by far the best. These guys are total professionals, plus friendly, punctual, willing to do whatever to get the job done. Plus, they seem to have an eye for where furniture should be.
So, the details. They (5 men, 2 trucks and a trailer)arrived, as quoted, on time with clean trucks and a full staff. They just got right to work. They wrapped EVERYTHING. Nothing dinged or bumped. They had a system for moving each piece from giant beds to small boxes. They are so efficient and so fast.
It took 81/2 hours total. Everything was in place. They walked through with me for a final walk through.
I could not be happier. I would write more,but not much to tell other than, you need to hire these guys if you want your furniture moved right.
