My wife and I bid our pool and spa remodel to a bunch of companies and they all gave us similar designs and ideas. When we met Kal we could tell his brain works differently. He gave us a ton of unique and creative ideas to the remodel and after saying yes to some and no to others, the result was an elevated spa with a totally unique tile that neighbors are asking where i got from all the time". I'd highly highly recommend having Kal look at your pool if you want something different. I didnt mention his communication and time management were exceptional as well.

I recently hired Kal Gunay of Tiki Pool Services for a number of projects in my backyard. I've used their pool service for years, however they sold the business a few months back to Atlantis Pools. I've always liked Kal, and I was hoping to support him in his new endeavor of creating and beautifying pools. Kal was to install a cedar ceiling, assemble a pergola on cement footings and install pavers. I paid Kal in full for the ceiling and for the pergola, which came in $1200 over what was quoted to me before the project began. The ceiling fell down within a week. Planks of cedar dropping from the ceiling. However this was installed was clearly not well if gravity pulled the ceiling down. Not to mention it was really a horrible job. Messy cuts, gaps in planks.etc. Kal refunded me my labor which was 40% of what I paid. The pergola. Oh, the pergola. Kal messed up the measurement for the concrete footings during the install. He tried to adjust it, just couldn't get it right. Because we parted ways after the ceiling fell, I needed to get more quotes for the pavers. Come to find out, the concrete footings were set almost three inches too high, the bolts add an extra half inch, and the pergola itself is not set straight. I now have to pay a third party to come in and remove the pergola, drill out and reset the footings. I reached out to Kal to find a resolution to the problem because I am no where near whole on the ceiling given that i will need to buy new materials, and now have to pay to have the pergola reset. I was hoping to find a peaceful resolution that worked for both of us. He's refused to work with me to find a resolution. I might recommend tiki pool service for the cleaning of pools, but I would not recommend tiki or Kal Gunay for any projects out side of cleaning a pool.

Kal, the main person seems to be very knowledgeable. Unfortunately when I signed up with him for weekly service, he was not the one coming but he subcontracted to someone very incompetent: in a couple of weeks, I had the following issues: - the main filter had never been cleaned a single time in about two months (something that I would expect to be cleaned once a month at least) - the drain basket has been left full of leaves a couple of times - the drain basket has been reinstalled incorrectly (upside down!) clogging the main line with leaves - one week, the spa was empty, the pump was dry and the pool was left full of leaves Those are repeated events that should not happen, I recommend you to stay away from this company.

Kal was doing a good job when we initially hired him and we had no issues when he was doing our pool. However, when he hired someone else is when the problems started. The person who did our pool did not do a good job at all. Even according to Kal, ours is an easy pool that is hard to mess up. It was obvious that the guy wasn't brushing down our pool or cleaning it properly. Kal is usually responsive when we call with issues, however, what was really disappointing is that we called Kal and requested him to keep a personal eye on our pool while we were on vacation for a month because we did not trust the technician. The pool was dirty when we came back. And they had let the pool get so low without turning the skimmer off that the new pool motor was making screeching noises. Kal is nice and we kept giving them a chance because of that reason. I hope he can hire better people.

A full crew came and completely replaced all my pool screens a day and a half, but also repaired and/or replaced all the water down spouts. The job was done in a highly professional manner, and was completed to my great satisfaction. I highly recommend them. Robert B. Jones

I contacted Kal to get an expert opinion on some stains in my pool. He replied right away and showed up to my house, provided explanations on what is going on. Since I already had pool services he left without even charging me for anything! However since I like his professionalism, I ended up switching my pool service and I also had him acid wash my pool. I am very happy so far, Kal is very knowledgeable and always punctual. I highly recommend him!

We bought a new hot tub and wanted to get some expert help on maintaining it. Jason came and tested the water and added the necessary materials to balance it. He showed us what we needed to do to maintain it. He suggested buying some items to help maintain it. I asked Jason if he could bring them and he brought them a week later. Jason was very professional and helpful. I will be calling on him again.

I called Kal to get help with a stain in our pool, and with a leak problem we were having.
He called back promptly, showed up when he said he would, changed the parts we needed changed, and came back again to help us resolve a pool stain problem we'd been having.
I actually think he didn't charge me enough for what he did.
I was definitely pleased with this company's service, and would certainly recommend them to others.

I called Kal on a Thursday evening and he answered the phone, told me he could check the issue Friday afternoon and that he would call later Friday afternoon.  He called and showed up just like he promised and checked out the broken salt water system I had.  I had previously gotten an estimate for over $2000. for the job.  Kal not only gave me a better price, but knowing that I expected to pay more, still gave me a great price of $1,140 to complete the job. I agreed.  He said someone would come out on Saturday to have it fixed at no extra charge.  Dave came on Saturday, right when he said he would.  He was a great guy!  Gave my husband and I some great tips on maintaining our pool since we maintain it ourselves.  Kal called while Dave was still here to make sure we were happy with his work.  Dave installed a new timer and got everything working perfectly!  They were awesome to work with and I would recommend Kal to anyone who needs any type of pool service or repair. He is a really good guy!!

I pay him every month. The pool is spotless every week, so he does a really good job. He is very reliable. He always comes on the same day. I never have to ask if he has been here this week which I had to before with other pool companies. He is very good. I have no complaints. He is professional, and he keeps the pool very clean.

Kal has saved our pool. He came out the morning after I called him and he is always easy to reach. We had quite a bit of a bug problem, which he fought hard to fix. Sometimes he came out a few times during the week to stay on top of it. Our pool is awesome now, thanks to Tiki Pools!

The owner of the company is the pool technition, he is always on top of any issues with pool and it's system. The pool always looks perfect when he leaves. He is dependable and reliable.

Tiki Pools was amazing. Had an on going problem with algae in my pool so on the recommendation of a friend I called Tiki Pools. The tech was prompt and very knowledgeable about the issue with my pool. Very professional and my issue cleared right up. I will now keep on a regular schedule with Tiki Pools to ensure my pool is kept sparkling clean. I will also be sure to recommend to all my neighbors, friends and family. I found Tiki Pools through a Google search when I first moved to Boca Raton after purchasing a house. Kal from Tiki Pools is my pool maintenance technician who coordinated my pool renovation. He had a large retiling and repainting project for the pool and patio area done in three days which was shockingly quick. Kal is completely transparent with costs of materials and labor which was a surprise -- if I could find a better price for the materials, he had no problem purchasing from wherever I found it cheaper. He and handymen present for the job were very professional and respectful of my property, personable, cleaned up after themselves, and left me with a gorgeous pool area.

Kal also handles my monthly pool maintenance, cleaning, and pump/pool equipment diagnostics checks, maintains chemicals in the pool, and is completely reliable even in the event of an emergency. My dad flew in from New York and while tending to the plants in my pool area, accidentally dropped a 8 gallon potted plant into the pool. Kal was there SAME DAY, cleaned the entire pool out and re-chem'd it at NO EXTRA COST!

Tiki Pools has been nothing but a lifesaver for me. Kal is also very well connected to other very reliable, professional handymen and other services. He referred me to a great contractor that will be doing work on my interior.

Kal should be charging way more than he does for EVERYTHING that he does. The greatest pool service in Boca. Swear by em.

I have been using tiki pools for almost a year now. What a wonderful company! They do everything: pool maintenance, cleaning, even cleaning the deck around the pool. Friendly, reliable, trustworthy, reasonable services. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been using the same pool service for a long time, I have never cared for their service much. After talking to a neighbor and finding out about tiki pools, I decided to call them and try out the new service which is much more reasonably priced then the previous one. Tiki has been cleaning my pool now for 45 days and I couldn't be happier with my service! The pool feels so much better, the chlorine used to burn my nose and eyes and would smell so pungent. Now I have realized that was from improper care and the use of too many chemicals. I am so impressed with this service and so satisfied. I look forward to the days I am home when he comes so I can run into him and thank him! I have obtained a new pool service!
