Szabo Carpet Cleaning

We contacted Mike Szabo through Angie's List.  He called back the next day.  He arrived 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment at 10 a.m. and got to work immediately.  We were very pleased with his friendliness and professionalism.  He was finished with the job in about 20 minutes.  The carpets look brand new!  We highly recommend Mike Szabo to anyone needing his services.

A clogged toilet overflowed and water was pouring out onto the floor. By the time it was discovered, 4 rooms were under water: the bathroom, a guest bedroom, the office and the family room. I quickly turned off the water supply to the toilet and we attempted to bail the water out onto the patio and out the door, but it was much more than we could handle.
We called the Szabo Carpet Cleaning Company. They do emergency water extraction. Mike and John Szabo responded very quickly with their equipment and proceeded to remove the water from each room. When it seemed as though all the water was gone, Mike waited outside for awhile. I asked him if he wasn't done yet. He told me that the water that had been absorbed would now be released down onto the floors again. Sure enough, he was right and a copious amount of water was back on the floors all over again! Once more the standing water was extracted.
After Mike was satisfied that all of the water was removed, he placed 3 large dehumidifier units and 5 turbo air movers all around the rooms. The equipment ran for 3 days. He explained that these were there for the purpose of drying out the carpeting, floors, and furniture and removing any dampness, so that I would not develop a mildew problem. In our favor was the fact that we had noticed the flooding quickly and it was attended to right away.
I have to say the equipment was noisy and made the rooms quite warm. I stayed away from that area of the house as much as I could during that time. Mike visited to monitor the machines and check the drying out progress. After 3 days he was satisfied that everything was really dry. He used an antimicrobial compound everywhere as an extra guarantee. After he removed all that equipment, it seemed as thought this huge flood had never happened. All the rooms, furniture, floors and carpeting were dry as a bone. I have not encountered any residual effects and I am so grateful that there is no damage. It could have been so much worse!

When we first called for a quote, Mike responded immediately. He came to the house, listened to our requests, and examined each surface thoroughly to ensure it would clean well. Mike and his brother did a magnificent job, and we will definitely use their services again!

He was an excellent carpet cleaner. He is very prompt and he gave me a quote and stuck to it and I thought that he was very good. I liked that he did exactly what he said he was going to do for the price he said he was going to do it for. The way he did it was very good too and I was just overall very pleased.

The carpet cleaner came a little late but did the job in a timely and professional manner. His service met our expectations.

These guys are great! They were friendly, professional, and on-time! They managed to fit us in their busy schedule after the original company we scheduled an appointment with didn't show up (no phone call to cancel the appointment, they just never showed up). The Szabo team worked efficiently and they happily addressed any problem areas/stains we pointed out. The carpets look just as good as they did when we first moved in. I'll be sure to call them again in the future!

Great experience, top to bottom. Fast responses to calls. VERY fair pricing for cleaning a couch, 2 chairs, ottoman, 7 throw pillows and playroom carpet. Mike (owner) did exactly what anybody would want for this kind of service: Quoted a fair price and stuck to it, left the place in better shape than he found it, was punctual and polite. This is now my first call and only recommendation to friends when carpet/upholstery cleaning is needed. A much better and affordable experience than other "steemer" companies.

They were very good. They cleaned the carpet very thoroughly. They arrived on time and did exactly what they said they would do. There were stains that they couldn't get out and they actually came back to try again. We ended up getting rid of the carpet because the stains would not come out. Overall I was satisfied with their work.

I used Angie's list to obtain the name of this company. I left a message on an answering machine to inquire about services. I received a call back from the owner a few hours later. I described the job I wanted done, and I was quoted a price of $135.00 for my 2 BR condo. We agreed to have the job done the next day. He told me that he would arrive between 11:00 am - 12 noon. At 12 noon, I received a phone call and was told that he would be arriving in the next 15-20 minutes. I really appreciated the phone call saying he would be late. At 12:20 pm, he arrived and looked over my place. I had already moved the small furniture out of the way and instructed him to also do the inside of the closets. I am on the third floor of a condo that does NOT have an elevator, and he did NOT charge me extra for this. Other companies I contacted charged up to $40 extra for this "service". My carpeting is not in the best of shape, and there were a few bad stains. He apologized for not being able to entirely remove the spots even after pretreating them, which didn't bother me considering the age and shape of my carpeting. He also cleaned a small area rug for me at no charge. There were no additional "hidden" fees... I was quoted a price of $135, and I paid $135. The carpeting looked good when he was done. I would use this company again as well as recommend them to others.

They did a great job. Very fast service. Exactly the price quoted. We would definitely hire them again. In fact, we'll probably call them about tile cleaning next.

Mike Szabo was professional the whole experience. Over the phone he gave me an estimate told me when he was going to be there and promised to be there. Mike arrived in a clean well kept company vehicle, he was uniformed and polite. He called me at least an hour before arrival and called when he was there. He stood by his word and I only paid what he estimated over the phone. Overall I was VERY VERY happy and I will use Mike again and again when I have other projects that need carpet cleaning. NO where else will you find a carpet cleaning company that is so well maintained and professional such as Szabo Carpet Cleaning.
