"Please do take the time to read all of this I want to make one thing perfectly clear in this dispute. this is about $7.53 of tax that this man in his $2 million home and with his Harvard law degree doesn't want to lose a case and pay $7.53 in tax. He paid me for the first hour for which he should have paid for two, but I didn't want to have any more argument, and I decided just to cave and charge him the 1 hour. It was a tax on that amount of money when we did the job which was to fix his pocket door. First we had to diagnose the problem and get the material and tools to repair it. The wall had to be cut open to access the broken mechanism. Then my tech replaced the broken or lost bolts that held the door on the track and lubricated the track which probably hadn?t been serviced in 20 years. He tested the door and was satisfied it was now operational. He was then going to put the wall back together and repair the knock down finish. But the homeowner stopped him because it would take time which cost money. So he left the wall open, cleaned up and left. Normal procedure is to then text me the time and materials used so I could convert the estimate into a final invoice to be paid. This guy paid the estimate which didn?t include the materials. Shortly after I sent the final invoice. By now the homeowner has started harassing me for the tax money. I told him it was a taxable job under Florida law. He tells me ?you don?t know who you?re dealing with. I?m a Harvard Lawyer. He sends me a part of the tax law not pertaining to this job. I sent him the appropriate law which states, ?if its labor only (customer supplied materials) No sales tax? We supplied the materials, we charged tax that is sent to the state every month. After I showed him the law, he then started to investigate my company?s status. He looked up and after a struggle found we are registered tax collecting and tax paying entities in good standing. That wasn?t good enough. He then looked up and found out about my home and wife He wouldn?t accept this and continue to harass me. You are invited to review the thread."
"I find it incompressible that you would stoop so low as to post reviews that show work performed by others just to avoid paying your invoice. Not only on this site but posting multiple photos of work that was done before we even entered your house. You told Bill you threw out the previous contractor because he didn't use a nail gun. Before nail guns people used nails and setters to attach baseboard. You bragged your daddy is a GC. He would be ashamed of your behavior. I will be turning you in for collection."
