I use Sears auto center at the Boca Town Center Mall for some oil changes, tire rotations and alignment, and batteries. Their work has been satisfactory, but there are a couple negatives associated with the experience - 1) the check-in and check-out process can be brutally slow if the place is busy, and 2) every time I go there, they try to sell me a wheel alignment, and lately they have been more aggressive in trying to sell additional services. It's becoming a bit too much like Jiffy Lube for my taste. I understand that they are expanding the services that they provide (brakes, etc), but I haven't tried them.
Description of Work: Oil change.

In both cases a different person came to fix the dishwasher and refrigerator. They were clean, polite and prompt and finished it in a timely manner. They went the extra mile to complete the job for each of the repairs on the same day.
Description of Work: They came by to fix my refrigerator and dishwasher. They offered me a deal with an "X" amount of dollars when I originally purchased the appliances. It came with a year long warranty and instead of costing me $1,000 it only cost me $400.

The reapir was not necessary and Sears technician did not check for the simple things that can wrong like a loose screw and may have contributed to the loose screw when the battery was changed several time.
Description of Work: I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra with 60k miles when the battery died. I got a replacement battery from Sears at Town Center in Boca Raton. I have been buying Sears batteries there for 25 years. The battery was dead after several weeks. Sears replaced the battery. I went on a business trip and the battery died again. Wife jumped car and took to Sears. Sears said the alternator was bad and changed it for $300.00. Several weeks later battery was showing signs of going bad. I looked at the battery connections and found a loose screw that connected a cable to the battery connector. I tightened the screw and fixed the problem. It was not the alternator but a loose battery connection and i was out $300. Check the simple things first. Sears has limited capability to diagnose and fix problems.
